Great video i used all of this for the normal kraken and it made it so much better, i keep the 7.1 surround sound off though i find the raw audio from the mic way better even when it came to what direction i was hearing sounds from.

this made my mic sound amazing thanks a lot man.

Headset microphones have greatly improved. They used to use electret condensers, now they use MEMS and lower voltages. They can be a little harsh on the high end, but that is easy to EQ.

Mems are cheaper and better for sensor applications. They have advantages, but audio quality is not one of them.

You dont need the VB cable. you can just set it to whatever your default mic is as your output

@@crea7e If you're looking for something good - blue snowball. Only thing is it's very sensitive so it will pick up your keyboard and stuff. Make sure you have it somewhere close to you on your desk (mine's to the left of my keyboard), or on a boom arm. It's a really good mic though, and definitely worth the £50 or so.

i clicked on this just to see what tools you used and i don't regret it. i did need some sort of software that acts like the ones you used here (create a virtual audio input where you could stack effects on it like a sound card).

fortnite man there’s an app called VB banana and you will need VB audio and VB cable . There’s a vid on KZread that explains it better but makes it sound not so bad. Only thing it’s a bit complicated to set up, at least for me but maybe you’ll have luck with it.

Idk if you know about this issue, but I tried it, and at the start it worked perfectly fine, but later on my friends told me that my voice was "skipping"/"clipping"; as if an on and off button was going off repeatedly in my mic. I thought it was the noise gate but it had nothing to do with it... any help please?

Just tried this and took it for a spin in Audacity (I have a Razer Kraken too) and my audio was cutting out every other split second, made the audio sound very choppy and was no good

I have the Nari ultimates an this helped me not sound like a robot so much lol thanks

Same, now my mic is not working

This video helped a bunch! Have the Razer Barracuda X and my friends noticed the mic quality change instantly in party chat. So yes, it does work on wireless gaming headsets. Definitely will direct anyone and everyone to this video if I hear bad mic quality while gaming lol

Thats the reason I don't like using voicemeter, the sound of the mic has to go through VM, VM applies all the filters and shit, then comes out

When I test my audio on a mic tester, the audio is really choppy. It cuts out some of the words I'm saying and that's really annoying. I'm not sure why it does this.

I read in the comments that if you're struggling with the A1 hardware switch from the WDM Cable to the MME Cable. I tried it myself and it worked for me :)

i read on google that you just have to use the default input your computer comes with. I did that and thats what fixed my problem.

This issue with this is that it applies the EQ to all sounds going through voicemeeter. So it applied the EQ to the KZread video I was watching

Buffer size is to low - install asio4all and try using those low latency drivers

It sounded great in the voice meter app but outside the app, the mic was very choppy and cutting out. I tried to fix it for over an hour and looked through every forum but nothing worked. I had to uninstall it. Did anyone else have a similar issue and did you find a solution?

Yup! meant to work in game (I use it in Discord with my friends). Just set your microphone or input to CABLE Output (VB-Audio Virtual Cable).

This helped out so much, my friends now can hear me well without hearing my desk wiggling thanks lel. It only works if the app is open just saying i might help out others.

@@davebino Yes, and make sure you have the cable output used on the audio settings

You should take a look at Corsair Virtuoso's (not the Special Edition one), because it has one of the best sounding microphones on a headset and it's wireless :D

Hope you reply i wonder if i can use it while im streaming throw my Streamlabs OBS or my Normal OBS and other thin do i need to have the software open while im streaming thk for any reply buddy

basically, yes! You can use this for everything. Just change your mic in OBS to the VoiceMeter (whatever version you have) to the mic. Just find the setting like (system tray) or something and it will run in the background with everything else without you noticing it. Maybe there will be some delay, but that can be fixed in obs itself!

When I use voicemeter it cancels all audio except the mic. Like i literally cant hear anything besides myself

Yeah. I can find the comp & gate to reduce some background noise. Did you find any of those settings.

I tried to uninstall my previous version of voicemeeter, completed the uninstall but when I tried to install voicemeeter banana it tells me that I need to uninstall the previous version of the software which I already did... I deleted every other thing manually, there's not a single trace of that software on my PC yet it instists that I need to uninstall the previous version of voicemeeter... my guess is to put the input on the Voicemeter to (Microphone NVIDIA RTX VOICE) or go the other way around and put the input in RTX voice to (CABLE Output VB-Audio Virtual)

You have the literal same mouse as me I got it yesterday.

My mic sounds like it is Underwater.

So I've followed this here. Testing through VoiceMeeter Banana sounds pretty good. However when I use it in Discord, with the "CABLE output" as input device, it cuts out all the time. Already set input sensitivity to 0, but that doesn't seem to be the issue. Messing around with the noise gate doesn't change anything either. Any thoughts?
