How to Make Your Food Photos POP
In this video, I discuss what makes an image or the subject in that image stand out with a rich sense of dimension and depth in food photography. What makes your food photography stand out? The key is always the light, but how well do we understand its behavior? Tonal variation is all about revealing contour and shape on a subject and how well we understand this, guides our decision on how to set up our food photography lighting and can ultimately result in either a good image or a great image.

Your videos are underrated. You take me back to school not with the technical jargon. But with the basic simplistic knowledge of lighting. Super important. Great vid!

Wow, thank you so much!
I would have entered the world of photography a long time ago if people spoke clearly and down to earth like you without the extras while skipping over a lot of things. I appreciate you!
I hope you make a million more videos, very underrated channel. I'm not even interested in food photography and your videos have easily been some of the most educational I've seen. I would like to see you go into excruciating detail on everything. Specifically, applications for every type of diffuser.
Another banger from my favorite lighting teacher
This channel has infinite value with these lessons. Some of the best lighting content I have found on KZread as I learn. Thank you for the content!!

Thank you, it was very useful!
Ur videos are so well explained. Thank You😊
Fantastic!
Can't wait until my camera arrives next week and I'll be trying some of this stuff for sure
Shot 0:15-0:19 was smart. Showcase you lying on the floor with clearly the camera above you and then the next shot looking up, seemingly showcasing that there’s no camera there. Not sure if anyone else picked up on it but that’s good.
Every video of yours is so simple yet so informative that it really makes very easier for average person to understand some the important and complex(sometimes). Thank you so much for all your efforts. All the best for your brighter future(don't need any negative fill there.. hahahah)
Great Video!
The best 🌺

subscribed you channel coz the content is great!! hello from a fellow photographer from India :)
Really enjoyed this video. I've been binging your videos for the past few days and it shows you have a true passion for teaching and breaking down concepts to manageable pieces while still giving it your own style. My question is for food photography, does it make sense to have a strip grid in a smaller apartment space since it should allow you to separate the background from small objects like food and drinks? I'm trying to make my small apartment work for me...Thanks!

Thanks Peter! My simple answer is yes. The stripbox with grid is great for small spaces if you still want to create separation in your photos. All the best! Let me know if you have any more questions
thanks mate!

Hey, thanks for this! been learning from your videos for a few weeks now, and i saw a few videos on natural lighting and since i have little to no equipment, i work with natural lighting and there's a lot for me to learn in that arena. would be a lot of help if you shares more on natural light and how can i possibly optimize my food photography under natural lighting. p.s if you have any tips for photography from phone, would be of great help too. thanks! wishing you a good day :))
