    Thanks mate! Sure, since this is a beginner video I used a Png format with a color depth of 16 (Agx). Easy and fast to export. (I know some people would like to see the exr workflow in fusion, but I'll touch on that later)

    @@misanthrope_01 I disagree. The biggest factor is time vs visuals. People sometimes act as if PNG is the worst in the world, while almost all other artists use png, such as photoshoppers etc. I agree that EXR gives higher dynamic range and more flexibility in post, but the question is: do you always need a crane to lift a bucket? PS: Unless you work at a streamlined VFX company, nobody cares what workflow you used as long as it looks good. Spend your time wisely. Also, showing people what a program can do is not teaching bad habits, it gives you more power and freedom to achieve what you want.

    Brand new to editing - I’ve gotten the fusion page down relatively well and want to lean into 3d effects- sorry for the ignorance but why learn blender if davincii can make 3d? (I know nothing about blender really and just started touching on 3d in fusion) thank you!

  • @theblenderender

    Awesome, well... It's kind of like choosing to ride a bicycle to China or taking an airplane. Or trying to make coffee with a teapot. You can do it, but the best method is to use a 3D program for 3D. Davinci lacks a lot of things such as simulations, geometry nodes and a whole lot more. On the other hand, you can edit in Blender, but I definitely would recommend using Davinci instead. Hope this is clear

    Whats your main argument using davinci and not adobe?

  • @theblenderender

    @theblenderender

    4 ай бұрын

    First of all: Color grading in Davinci Resolve reigns supreme. Try achieving the same results with lumetri color in AE or PP. No way josé... Secondly: Everything is in one place. I don't have to open premiere, create a link to after effects and open that as well. Then go back to audition to change my sound. In Davinci I just switch the tabs. My after effects is fusion, my audition is fairlight and it's all in the same program. Finally: Price. Adobe is subscription based, while Davinci resolve can be used for free. If you want to use the studio version of Davinci it only costs you 200 dollars once to get the program for the rest of your life. Source: used all of the above softwares PS: they should sponsor me for saying this :p

    @@ReneTheuns Blenderender is doing a great job with these videos and his points why to choose davinci resolve is absolutely reasonable. It is a great peace of software..a real power horse...and blackmagics philosophy suits to the philosphy of blender users, so it is an inevitable logical decision.
