    agree completely. Chorus is one of those pedals that you either hear it and its overpowering or it's so subtle and you might as well not bother - esp. on an acoustic. And lord only knows when you would need a delay with an acoustic :-O

    I think the main point of chorus on an acoustic is to instantly turn a 6-string into a 12-string.

    The prices are horrendous on this series: £199 for what appears to be a rather basic mono delay pedal! I anticipate a chorus of acoustic players delaying a purchase.

    Reverb, compression, and EQ pedals would to my mind be more the thing for an acoustic, and I really don't see the need for any of them to be specially made for acoustic guitars. So how about a "using pedals to enhance and expand the tone options from your plugged in or Mic'd accoustic" video? A video demoing a range of ideas and examples might be really cool.

    Why doesn’t the acoustic scene have the same obsession with tone as the electric scene? Firstly, and if you argue you’re deaf, stop using piezo pickup systems. They don’t sound like guitars sound FFS! You need a mic based system. If it’s purely practical and it’s all you have for gigging and the compromise is understood then fine but otherwise you’re better off buying without a electro system and using an iRig acoustic.

    M.Levesque do you think I’m criticising someone’s playing? Read it again. Go listen to a piezo vs a mic system - you don’t need to hear my playing. (The guys on this video are amazing players if you need me to remove any doubt).

  • @Maxim_BornDivided

    @Maxim_BornDivided

    I know that you're not criticizing their playing. But do remember friend, sound is subjective. And also money is also a thing that people might have less than enough. So that being said, having other routes to make music on a budget is also great when you cannot afford a good mic and all for this.... It depends on peoples needs.

  • @deldia

    @deldia

    5 жыл бұрын

    M.Levesque yeah but some of these solutions are not expensive. The iRig acoustic is £26 if you already have an iPhone say. I know there are compromises etc. But it needs to be discussed at the very minimum. In this case sound isn’t so subjective because everyone can hear piezo pickups don’t sound like what a guitar sounds like - it’s more like a whole new instrument. I’d probably be hard pushed to pick out the difference between a good valve, a good modern transistor or a good modelling amp on an electric but piezo guitars are as obvious as taking a frying pan to the face.
