Great video and advice. I'm still working my way to my big boy license, but fingers crossed this year it will happen. I still go back the video you did on nervous riders that's been a massive help to me.

Glad it's helping Dave. When I had my CBT and 125 to get out I would ride to industrial estate, practise what you would do on a MOD1 and then ride home a different way each time to build up road skills. Trust me though, big bikes are so much easier (strange as it sounds), takes a good 2-3 months learning curve to get over the power and fear of that but once you do it is so much easier with regards to getting away from cars.

@Peter Kenworthy thank you Peter, I had a big confidence issue last year and it stopped me from progressing to take my tests. This year I'm determined to get through it and enjoy it

@@davestatham8668 listen Dave , because I was so nervous I contacted Dom and he made a video Fiorela me on his channel . He was very supportive. This time last year I stated my DAS , only had a few months experience after my CBT in sept . It was a disaster. Two days in I put the DAS on hold for another few months . Eventually passed MOD 1and 2 first time …… but I did cancel my MOD 1 twice due to massive nerves . When 2 came I was terrible , even vomiting ,,,, And now, I smile as I take my new 650 fir a ride with all the gear and my friends . Not bad for an old man of 58 . Best of luck buddy

Going to try this next week. I too have a great IE to practice on . Unfortunately one of the roads is AUDI/ BMW stupidity lane. The car parks are great . Will take my cones and get the skills practiced . Don’t like the glare on the Rd at this time of year, it’s very dangerous.
