    Great vid, thanks. I photograph volleyball and you definitely can’t follow the ball, you have to look at the opposite side of the court and watch the player movements and predict where the ball is going. So many missed shots but it’s the best way.

    Hi Mate, Slowly getting throw all the collection of the second to none tutorial videos and some questions are popped up. It will be great if you make a video about the way you select the rate between action shots, wide shots, fans/party shots. As I understand you pretty much follow the music selection and the story of the video, but do you have some receipt like 2 action shots, one fan/reaction then wide shot? Or it's just a custom one?

  • @BeyondTheGame_E

    @BeyondTheGame_E

    Hey man, thanks for reaching out. There's no strict recipe. As you said, I just go with the flow of the video. But I do try to cut from wide to tight and tight to wide as much as possible.

    I would argue that keeping the shutter speed to only double the framerate with fast-action sports is not as interesting. The natural motion blur is almost accentuated with slow-motion footage and having a shutter speed closer to 1/320 or 1/400 (or as fast as you can go while keeping proper exposure) is ideal. But, there's no hard and fast rule on this, just my $0.02.
