Amazing design, I've seen other designs, but they are too heavy, or don't have enough surface area for wind to push against it. I will make a similar design and 3D printed and test it! Thanks for the video, you really went above and beyond, by making EVERYTHING yourself. Nice job!

Hey really nice work. Its always fun to see how we can take plane old stuff within arms reach around the house and make something cool with it. Maybe in your next post, we'd love to see a light bulb or something running on the motor/generator or even just charging up a battery... as small as it is, that can be really useful. This was a high school project? I noticed it generated 4 volts. Now at 1,000,000 amps the would be 1 megawatt, but I have a feeling that it does not quite generate that much current. Did you, per chance, do a load test, and if so, what current (and at what voltage) did you get? Very well explained video, I am impressed. But if it was a high school project, I am very impressed. I may even try building it myself.

Thanks for your support.Yes you are right.It was a high school project.I made so many projects like this.I made vertical axis as well as horizontal axis windmills.Due to my experience, I will say"horizontal axis windmill is more efficient than vertical axis windmill".If you want,I can also explain its logical reason which I understood myself.

What's the output power in watts during normal windspeeds (e.g. 3m/s, 6m/s, 10m/s) ? In addition to that, If the ribbon drive is replaced with an axial generator, the efficiency would be considerably higher.

Use large four of such turbines together and couple it with a generator of suitable size. It will give substantial power.

I like your design and use of fidget spinners for bearings. Can you make one that is weatherproof? The wood and cardboard will not last long in the rain and the green plastic caps will not withstand UV Rays for many years.

Yeah... I'm sure the motor belt was disconnected because it was causing to much resistance which is probably why the motor was out of the camera angle shot at the end of the video.

Can you please send me the details of the motor name . I'm doing my final year project as vertical wind turbine. I used thrust bearing to rotate easily and faster but I stuck with the motor I can't find a motor that rotates very freely where the shaft rotates freely please let me know if you have any idea

@@HMPAKTECHNOLOGY Car's / Bike alternator set along with diode produces 120watts at 12 v and is in very small size in this way by attaching car alternator you can know how much Current can your wind turbine generate

Personally, I never watch how-to videos with no voice over. It's so much easier to follow with voice instruction AND visuals.

I did not check amp but voltage was 4v.I made another one.It was bigger and its output was wonderful.This project is model.You can make it on large scale by same method.Use a bigger dynamo to get high output.

No offense its too ordinary. Look at the designs in the internet and you will see this. Some info for you to digest...this type of windmill wont produce much. Its a type which cannot faces 50 percent of the wind. Low torque and power

Sorry, but I felt that the motor was running the wind turbines. For a small surface area turbine, it was rotating way too fast. For it to rotate very fast like that, the wind speed should be considerably high. But I don't see any movement in the vegetation on the ground on the back ground. Would have been better if you would have connected a load or a volt meter to show the actual output. Thanks.

No. Bro.I don't make any fake content.You are right in this way that I should connect a volt meter.But it is really 100% working windmill.Its speed was so high because I used almost frictionless bearings of spiners and speed of air was high.You did not see any moment in vegetation because that was a type of small grass in the fields.You can see the video again.See the background with full attention.I say certainly that you will beleive that is real.

Bro bro I have made many projects related to windmills. due to experience I recommend you to make a horizontal Axis wind turbine because a horizontal Axis wind turbine are more efficient than the vertical Axis wind turbine. During the working of horizontal Axis wind turbine all the Blades of the turbine work at the same time due to this the the efficiency of horizontal Axis wind turbine is very high .on the other hand during the work of vertical Axis wind turbine only one blade works at a time and at the same time other one blade resists its motion due to these reasons vertical Axis wind turbine is less efficient than the horizontal one. If we compare the making procedure of these wind turbines there is one thing more made in the horizontal axis wind turbine which is the direction controller and it is very easy to make. I am uploading another video on the horizontal Axis wind turbine. you can see it. And I am talking about the horizontal Axis which is originally vertical wind turbine.I am talking with the reference of axis. horizontal Axis wind turbine will be vertical and the vertical Axis wind turbine will be horizontal you can understand it.

As a matter of fact I made a horizontal axis wind turbine sometimes 5 years ago , all you need is to make sure aerofoil shape wings are designed because horizontal wind turbine used lift force to operate , none of the KZread videos are accurate in this regard.long story short in my city Karachi there is alot of wind average 20km/hr so it makes sense too.

I doubt its 4 volts. Not even close.

It is not real. You have connected the motor with a power source. When motor starts, then the turbine start wandering.

Bro. I don't make any fake video.you can try it.It is 100% real and working.It is running on wind power and the motor is used as dynamo.

Title is misleading, this is a proof of concept for school children, not something that will generate power for a diy home use.
