How to make up an electrical panel. Remember, some things are better left to the pros…
Ойын-сауық
This video doesn’t scratch the surface on an actual “how to make up an electrical panel” and I didn’t intend for it to. I’ve been doing this for over 20 years and this is not something an untrained professional should attempt.
This is meant for tips and tricks for people that are in the electrical trade and learning to become an electrician.
I am aware that some things are outdated- this was posted at a time when we were only required to have afci’s in bedrooms by our ahj. We were also allowed to use one giant connector as you see in the video 😁 as long as the wires could all move freely once it was finished.
I enjoy constructive criticism so feel free to reference code articles if you see anything(there are a couple in there). 🫡

I appreciate these videos a lot as an apprentice. Unfortunately my boss isn't keen on explaining things. So I enjoy seeing how other people do things and if I can incorporate anything more in my work

Glad you are willing to find other resources for learning. Shows a lot about you 🫡
Pulling them all through one clamp is a violation...
your video came up for me with just "how to make up an electrical panel" and before I clicked to see the rest of the title I was thinking, "Man why does it take 9 minutes to say call an electrician"
nice work!
Nice job. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing!
Super helpful. Thank you.
Beautiful beautiful job very nice thank you you really help me I love it
You have a code violation in the white grounded conductors. They must be identified to what circuit they are associated with. If the black wire was on say circuit # 12 then you must mark the white wire with a 12. Where are the required AFCI circuit breakers ?
I like your style!
Has not been a thing called a neutral in the NEC in over ten years. Aholes changed one of the most commonly used electrical term in the last 120 years to grounded conductor. Also changed the term.light fixture to luminares.
There's no way you can do that with a 2in connector. That just seems wrong.

100% right. This is so fcking against code. Wtf
The key is when you cut your zip ties use side cutters. The zip tie razor blades are fantastic security devices. No one will want to reach in there.
Yes, leave the mess!
Bro its 2024. You should have a lot more AFI in there.
Purty!
Appears to be a code violation. Never saw a 2" connector approved for more then 1 cable. Most 1/2 & 3/4" two screw connectors are approved for two type NM cables.

You right. They work over all is nice organized. But he needed a few connectors like the right side.
Best looking panel I've ever seen. First time i've seen zip ties used as well. Nice Work!
I’m waiting for a keyboard hero to address a “bundling issue”.. lol that’s just how it’s is. Joe knows best.
