Japanese plum syrup is a popular traditional Japanese drink made from unripe green Japanese plums (ume) and sugar. It has a sweet and tangy flavor with a unique tartness that is so refreshing.
My son used to drink Ume syrup with water after baseball training because Ume contains citric acid to help him recover from fatigue!
