Thank you, David. I needed this right now. I resign from work due to it’s toxic work environment. It was not easy decision as I had no job lined up. Now, I find myself in my 40’s figure things out. My wife is very supportive, but of course I’m anxious. I’ve never been in this position before. Long story short, I am now figuring out what I want to do and have been looking what I need to improve. Salesforce came up and was interested immediately, which lead me to your channel as well. Your content has been bog help so far. Thanks!

Thank you so much for putting out the videos you do. Back in June, I was struggling with my job, and knew it wasn't what I wanted to do anymore. I had a bit of Salesforce knowledge, and came across your videos when I was searching for Salesforce career info. Your videos weren't the sole reason, but I feel like they gave me that little push I needed to try something new. I ended up quitting my job in July, pouring 40 hours a week into learning Salesforce, got my admin certification in August, applied for jobs in September. Now, in December, I'm one week into my new job where I'll be using my Salesforce skills full time, and getting that cert definitely made a giant impact on my job hunt. Even coming from a background where I worked retail for 6 years and had never studied or done anything with computers, learning Salesforce and getting the certification gave me a leg up. Thank you for the content you put out, and sharing your tips with all of us!

Perhaps many years from now, I might run into this comment again and see how far I've come. Or maybe that won't be the case. Thank you though for your kind words and for watching my stuff!

David, what would you advise someone who works in a big team and feels like they don’t get any opportunities to work on more advanced initiatives/projects/tasks? I don’t believe it’s a matter of skill despite what management might mask it as. If that person is eager and passionate to learn and grow yet doesn’t get picked over other teammates who have stronger relationships with mgmt.

@@dvdkliu I just finished the video. I'm not surprised I landed in Admin side. That's what I have my degree in. Long story short. I have been on a medical absence for nearly 6 years. I feel very behind in life. I'm trying to find certs to bring me up to speed. However, I'm cautious about getting the admin certs. (You recommended the 3 certs for admins). However, A few videos you had with dates within a year ago; state admin/roles are dwindling in number. Which makes me cautious about now starting these admin certs.... I don't want to waste the next x months getting the certs, if you think admins roles have reduced in number or less valuable.... especially how those videos were made a year ago. I assume admin roles have reduced even lower now? Am I correct in this assertion? If so, do you think I should just stay away and look towards other certificates? Thanks for the fast reply

My outlook is very long term looking, but, the trends certainly are there. Inaction though is probably the worst thing to do. If you want to be on the Salesforce industry, you've gotta start with the admin route regardless of your path. So, the big decision for you it's whether you want to do Salesforce or choose another industry instead.

@@dvdkliu I came to Salesforce by taking a course from Aspireship. I thought tech sales would be the fastest way to break into the tech industry with no prior tech experience. I'm considering applying to the BDR position in Salesforce to get my foot in the door, while I take these admin certs. I'm not sure if it's even possible to get interviews, but at least I now have the aspireship course on SAAS under me. They are supposed to call me to help for placement. I'm specifically, looking for salesforce now. It only makes sense, based on the pathways and my BA degree.
