HOW TO MAKE TISSUE PAPER PEONY FLOWERS - Easy to Make Tissue Paper Flowers for Any Occasion

This video will show you exactly how to make these beautiful tissue paper peony flowers. They cost so little and are really easy to make but have a great impact. You can make a bunch for a loved one or place them in a vase at home. Or how about making loads to decorate a function such as a wedding or birthday party.
You can use sheets of tissue paper, paper napkins or actual tissues!
You will need:
Tissue paper (napkin used in video)
Yellow tissue paper
Craft wire or florists wire (or stapler)
Scissors
Ruler and pencil (optional)

OMG this brings back memories. I remember making these as a child, with my Mum - had forgotten all about them. Thanks for sharing, and bringing back some wonderful memories. Shall make some more now ha ha.

Can I use it for Christmas cake?

If you want to place one on top of a Christmas cake I would wrap the wire in something (eg cling film wrap) so that it is not in contact with anything edible. If the icing is moist at all the colour may run out of your flower. All I can suggest is that you try if you want to but just be aware of the potential issues.
What if you don't have wire

To be honest I have only ever made them with wire. You could try using strong thread to make the flower and then gluing on a stem. Pipe cleaners would work too as they have wire through them. 😀

You could try gluing the folds together but I think that would take a very long time and may well not be successful. On my website I have some other paper flower tutorials grouped together.
