    I’m not sure what I did wrong but it has to be in my fold because all of the cutting I did correctly. I wound up with only 2 strips connected. So 2 strips connected tines about 20

  • @ChristinesCrafts
    @ChristinesCrafts2 күн бұрын

    Oh no! My guess is that when you cut through the ends you did not move along one on the back piece. At 3:44 in the video I cut through the pieces. Note that I cut through the first strip on the top level and then every other one but I cut through the second strip on the bottom level and then every other one. This is really important to make one long strip. Watch that section again and see if this is your mistake. I hope this helps. Good luck! 🙂

    @@ChristinesCrafts Thank you for answering. I did do as you suggested, that’s cut the first one on top layer and begin with the second layer on the bottom. I think it was my fold…aim going to do another sheet and try to fold it differently. I’ll let you know!

    I love these and I definitely will make these for my 3 day craft sale this fall. Tomorrow when I go to my Dad's house I hope to see his neighbor and ask her what does she do with her lavender when it starts to die. Every spring she must have thousands lining both sides of her walk way. I took photographs of her side walk a couple weeks ago. I already have a couple ideas for your hats. I think they will be beautiful laid on each desert plate for High Tea or a Mum and Daughter's tea. I so wish my grandmother Violet was still alive she would love these. My Dad is from England. I made my Mum and Grandmother Violet hanging lavender baskets when I was about 20. My Mum's stayed intact she hung it always in her kitchen. I braided the long lavender stems into a basket and they came out lovely. I am tired from my job so I am laying on the day bed watching your lovely video. The birds sound so nice and I have a lovely breeze coming in. I wish I lived near you to visit and craft with. I do not have any female friends. I am single and always have been. My Mum passed away a couple years ago and my Dad will be 86 this coming week. Tomorrow I will pick him up for church and take him to lunch afterwards. I am hoping to see my sister today. She lives 40 min away. Blessings, Rebekah from VA

  • @ChristinesCrafts
    @ChristinesCraftsАй бұрын

    I haven't tried but I am guessing a spray sealant would be best. If you applied Modge podge before assembly it may make the petals a bit stiff. Afterwards would be difficult. I do keep mine for years and just give them an occasional shake and dust and they still look great. 🙂

    I was just getting ready to start unpacking from moving but i am so tired i thought one more short video. I have issues so no longer allowed to paint with spray cans and no longer allowed to use hair spray. If you opened my medicine cabinet right now you would see a spray top covered in red and white gingham i made when i was 10 years old and I am now 60. I keep my tubes of lipstick in it. I have other spray tops not covered but in other pretty covers I keep my eyebrow prncils in, chapstick and bobbie pins for one i put my hair up in a french twist. I have one clear medicine cup i saved to gkue down cut down tooth picks yo the side, put moss inside and make tte daisys out of Q Tips i saw on Pinterest the other day. I have been shiopping my stash a lot lately for crafts for an upcoming craft sale. I am going to ask my family to start saving lids tor me to make pretty baskets out of. I already have potpourri on hand fir another projrct but i would rather make your idea. I have a nice breeze coming into my flat today and its finally sunny. I am so glad to see this today. Have a wonderful day! Blessings, Rebekah
