Hey, if you ever have a recipe for buttermilk but don’t keep buttermilk on hand, here is a great tip that is commonly used by at home bakers. In a 1 cup measuring cup, pour in 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, fill the rest of the measuring cup with milk. (I use whole fat milk but articles online never specify if full fat is needed.) Gently stir the mixture and let it sit for about 5 minutes. It will thicken up. I like to give it a final stir before using it. I have read that you can also do this with a tablespoon of lemon juice but I haven't personally tried it.

Cupcake batter: 1/2 cup butter, room temperature (NOT MELTED) 1/2 cup oil 1 1/2 cup sugar 4 eggs, room temperature 2 tablespoons vanilla extract 3 cups cake flour 1 1/3 cup buttermilk 1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles 2 teaspoon salt I’m going to try this recipe soon, wish me luck 👍
