Remember to turn off stove, thanks for the advice. Never stir coffee when its almost done, only in the beginning. Ps, check your blood pressure after drinking that big cup of greek coffee.

“Make sure you have your pinky extended.” Made me laugh out loud. I am Armenian (also Irish and English) so I call it Armenian coffee. My wife is Greek, Italian and Albanian. When I make it for the greek side of the family I call it Greek coffee. I know it sounds like we are super ethnic. We are not. Both of us were born in America as were our parents. Lol

It is important to if you have after service coffee to do it well. But does Orthodoxy even do an after service coffee meeting or is that not respectful of the Eucharist? Can you do before service coffee if it is a service without the Eucharist?

My Syrian grandmother taught us to let the coffee rise and fall 3 time for the trinity. 3 times for Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

How do you keep the grounds out of the cup?

The grounds are poured into the cup. You just have to be careful as you drink near to the bottom of the cup, so that you don’t drink the grounds.

You let them settle in the cup, drink almost to the bottom. Not a problem.@@topsecretbear9918

Thank you - very nice - but one thing..which i am not sure how it will be received....but i would really like to see our priests wearing at least their Rason - when being amongst people - as their vocation is not a Casual thing...like a sports coach or anything....we would like to see them wearing the traditional Rason - as it motivates us to Respect All things Holy. I know this is in the United States - but still, Tradition and Respect to people who serve God has no boundaries....i am sorry..not sure how this comment will be received. As i know the Protestant Tradition is to kind of "make everything casual" thinking that this will bring people closer to the Church...But this is Not true.....people want to see their Priests as Priests.....they represent something different....thank you.
