Between The Sheets! A suggestive name indeed! Maybe not as risqué as the Screaming Orgasm or the Silk Panties cocktail. But, where did that name originate anyway? Maybe if you have too many of them you’ll wind up between the sheets? This one possibly dates back to the 1920s and could be another invention of classic bartender Harry MacElhone at Harry's New York Bar in Paris. But really, is it just another riff on a Sidecar Cocktail? Let's find out!

THE BETWEEN THE SHEETS
--------------------
IN A SHAKER COMBINE:
1oz (30ml) - COGNAC
1oz (30ml) - WHITE RUM
1oz (30ml) - COINTREAU
1/2oz (15ml) - LEMON JUICE
-TOSS IN SOME ICE AND GIVE IT A GOOD SHAKE.
-FINE STRAIN INTO A CHILLED COCKTAIL GLASS.
-GARNISH WITH A TWIST OF LEMON.

Just tried this two nights ago. A wonderful drink! Added .25 oz of simple syrup and it was a smash hit with the Mrs. Thanks Bruce for the great videos, and thanks most of all for a delightful night with my bride of 30 years outside sitting around the fire pit under the stars. Simple times, lifelong memories!

A full ounce of Cointreau does indeed make that a powerhouse of a cocktail! All of the Sidecar/Daisy spec cocktails are underrated for how strong they are due to the orange liqueur. I mean, a tiki cocktail with 3 oz. of spirits would probably have another 5 oz. of fruit juices and syrups mixed in!
