The Martinez Classic Cocktail | Bar Talk & Cocktails
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Time to go back to the Classics! What do you get when a Manhattan and a Martini have a baby? A Martinez. It will make sense, just watch. The Martinez dates back to the 1800's but no one really knows who came up with it first. Someone was probably too drunk while trying to make their 5th Martini for the evening.

I don't mind when a bartender measures. But, watching Bruce free-pour is just so satisfying for some reason.

Stay tuned. Lots more on the way!
I really like a Martinez. I’ve played around with different garnishes. I didn’t put luxardo or bitters ( because I just came home from working swing shift at 3 am) and used a jalapeño stuffed olive super good. I alway enjoy your videos.

Bruce I love this beauty!! Delicious cocktail and I often use Cocchi! I prefer it and that it's less sweet is wonderful for me! I love Manhattans and Martinis and I love the classic - a Martinez!! I hope you are awesome! You make amazing cocktails!! Be well Bruce!! Cheers!!

Appreciate it!
I think they don't say to put it on ice because of the type of glassware they're advising to use. A coup with a big chunk of ice sloshing around may cause problems.
I like the practical alternative

All of them! Ha.. Scroll through my playlist you’ll see a lot of good summer recipes.
Why don't you make and sell a cocktail book. Like a cook book well it is a cookbook because of the Simple syrups you make and then your own drink recipe s. I'll buy the 1st two

I has never tried a martinez with genever before. I always thought it was a gin cocktail.

Give it a go! You might like it.
I make mine with orange bitters, sweet vermouth, and gin. In that order. I know you're the pro, but I always mix drinks starting with the smaller/cheaper ingredients. That way, they almost self-mix -- and if I goof it up, I'm not tossing out the good stuff.
