How to make the best Caipirinhia | A Brazilian Classic

This is a classic cocktail famous from Brazil, the Caipirinhia is made with #cachaça rum, sugar and fresh lime. Here, Kyle from Never Drink Ordinary will walk you through the steps to make the #caipirinha for your next #cocktailparty.
Equipment:
- #Rocks glass
- Crushed or cubed ice
- #Jigger (spiritswithsmoke.com/en-ca/co...)
- #Barspoon (spiritswithsmoke.ca/shop/copp...)
- Muddler
Whole lime, cut off top and tail. Cut in half and remove the white pith centreline. cut into four chunks.
Put into glass, add two spoons sugar, muddle with 0.25 oz rum firmly and slowly.
add remaining 1.75 oz to glass, top with crushed or cubed ice, stir to incorporate the drink & garnish with lime wedge.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Cachaça rum
- 2 spoons of sugar
- Half a lime cut into 4 chunks
Steps:
1. Take a whole lime and cut off the top and tail. Cut in half and remove the white pith center. Cut into four parts
2. Put the 4 lime parts into a rocks glass
3. Add two spoons of white sugar and 0.25 oz of rum
4. Muddle ingredients gently to #mascerate & release #aromatics
5. Pour in remaining 1.75 oz of rum
6. Stir with bar spoon to incorporate ingredients
7. Top with fresh ice for presentation
8. Garnish with lime wedge
