My mouth is watering just by looking at this! The combination of the taste of beef with chicken broth is great and I've done that way back as far as I could remember. But, you need bare hands when kneading for sanitary reasons.

Over all - a good recipe here! I use a piping bag to measure mine into equal size. A small hole, 3 cm and snip off. Roll. That’s how we made thousands of meatballs for a hotel Christmas holiday smorgasbord. (400 guests over Christmas). I’d use beef broth and a mix of heavy cream and créme fraiche. And raw lingonberries coated in white sugar, pickled cucumber and a creamy mash potatoes with it. Go Sweden 🇸🇪

I made the gravy very similar, but included worchestersire sauce an Dijon mustard. I also added some Allspice and nutmeg to reflect compliment what was in the meatballs. I sweated/lightly sautaued the onions as well before adding them.

Because of the bread soaked in milk you can put an whole egg but without the bread just put the yolk never the white as the meatballs will be very dry and will break easily .

She's wearing her rings on both hands !!?? Why. Properly, plastic gloves. And, or, a bowl of cold water next to her to rinse off -- while shaping the meat mixture. Too many deterrents from a truly original recipe. Especially noting the local the recipe combo. Strangely odder to a lot of viewers who have viewed this already !!

No its not common, and im an actual swedish chef saying this. Its used in oldschool pickles over here, thats pretty much it. Swedish people dont generally make curries and such that contain mace. Its a spice from the 18th century. It's nothing wrong with the taste, just that most swedish people dont know about it. "We" more often use allspice (kryddpeppar) in husmanskost ie traditional homecooking. Maybe they use mace way down south thou, I don't know. And maybe hipsters are giving it a comeback
