As a South African Tomato Bredie is one of my Favorite dishes . Bredie is another word for stew. You can use Lamb (Mutton), Oxtail or beef like we use in this video. Heat your pan/pot on high.
Ingredients.
- [ ] 1/2 Cup of the Tomato Paste of your choice
- [ ] 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- [ ] 1 Onion
- [ ] 1 Tbsp freshly chopped Garlic
- [ ] 1 1/2 Pound Beef
- [ ] 2 Bay leaves
- [ ] 1 Tsp Garlic Powder XS
- [ ] 1 Tsp Ground Ginger
- [ ] 1 Tsp Ground Coriander
- [ ] 1 Tsp Cardamom
- [ ] 1 Tsp Ground Pepper
- [ ] 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
- [ ] 1 Medium Tomato
- [ ] 3 Medium size Potatoes
- [ ] 1 Tbsp Salt
- [ ] 2 to 3 Tbsp Sugar.
Make sure to cook on low heat and stir pot after 20min.Then stir after another 15min or so. Then let it simmer for another 15min
