Power inverter explained. In this video we take a look at how inverters work. We look at power inverters used in cars and solar power to understand the basics of how they operate. We then cover electricity fundamentals, direct current, dc, ac, alternating current, single phase, three phase and split phase, electricity, pulse width modulation, variable speed drives, three phase rectification and more

@tukang donlod The really ridiculous part would be someone trying to replicate this, and actually trying to use it as an inverter. It would be an exercise in seeing how fast you can decap transistors. However, it would be a great idea for a channel. Build various cancerous circuits from KZread DIY videos knowing there will be flames in the end, and blithely use them like their commercial counterparts from your local store. The results would likely be quite entertaining.

This circuit is the same as ups.. But to make an urban sine wave, we have to have a range of positive and negative voltages،And finally, an inductive inductor must filter the square waveform to become a sine waveform ...But I do not think your waveform is sine ... your waveform is probably dc, and we can also give dvd voltage dc, and it works Because there is a power supply inside the dvd, and the power supply will be even happier if we give it a dc, because we made its work easier ...😍😘

Its square wave output has almost nothing to do with a sine wave. Also those thin wires can't handle 3000W at all. Besides the "fake specifications" it is also horribly dangerous to have uninsulated wires floating around with mains voltage levels. The Li-Ion batteries have been connected WITHOUT ANY PROTECTION which is horrible, so aditionally this thing can burn your house down if a short circuit occurs. May it be easy, but its definitely not a sine wave output, and it definitely won't be able to handle 3kW. Please, don't write clickbait titles like that. It makes beginners think that it's really so easy to build a proper inverter. Thank you.

Of course he won't. The output isn't a sine wave. The waveform across the transformer is clearly a square wave and the output looks like it's DC given the secondary side power rectifiers and how they're connected. Also, based on the light bulb test and when he moved the pot to vary the oscillator frequency, you could hear quite audible high frequency vibration, so the output is likely very noisy DC at that which is also not surprising given the lack of much of anything on the secondary side to clean it up.

No thermal paste under the Mosfets? And plenty of cold solder joints. You're supposed to heat the metal, and let the metal melt the solder, not using the iron to melt the solder. And how did you arrive at 3000 watts? Especially from 8 1650 batteries?

Hi there, very nice video, can you please help me understand how this DC to ac work? I know the rectifier but the other way around looks much more complicated, i never understood why there is a transformer always used, i know how they work and also know how to wind them, what i don't get is, why there is not a single post that explains how to convert DC to ac without the transformer and without boosting it, i only need the first stage, i need a circuit DC to ac converter from 12v DC to 12v 0 12v ac, pure sine wave (for diy car tube amp) is that possible? Or should I connect to the alternator by bypassing it's rectifier, i know this is crazy but that's what I'm left of with, please help.

If he used a small battery 12V9Ah = 108Wh, for example from a UPS, he could take 100W for a while. Theoretically 1 hour, but practically it's about 5-10 minutes, because that's exactly what the backup battery allows together with the inverter and especially with the transformer up to 140W from video that comes from a small UPS. This transformer has some class and can withstand short-term heating, so it can provide up to 180W of power for a while. Higher loads are not recommended, even if more VA power is indicated on the label. In any case, this transformer will not provide 3kW of power.

@@mamiyaservice Apparently you found yourself in a different topic. The subject that is on the video is not what you want to present, is it? The 12V9Ah battery is used in small UPSs that can hold a computer for a while. The power they reliably supply is 108W (according to the 12V9Ah battery and the output transformer). If a ferrite pulse transformer is used, the cross-section of the 1cm2 core can provide power around 300W, but the battery capacity will be sharply reduced. That's why I have 5-10 minutes. If you use a 3kW inverter with a heatsink and a large transformer, after connecting a 100Ah battery, you can achieve these outputs (really 3/4, which is 2.25kW). This is not important, because I am primarily talking about a device from video that cannot allow 3kW consumption, but only about 100W (for one 60W light bulb). It will allow 300W for a while. In addition, it does not have 50-60Hz and does not form a sinusoid (it is pulsed). It would be necessary to use more mosfets at 3kW ... The author of the video cannot count and does not know that the power is determined by taking from the secondary winding. The power is mirrored to the primary winding (P1 = P2) and it doesn't matter how many mosfets A can handle. The authors of similar videos make a fatal mistake in their strange "math".
