Indeed, this is the right method, although try cold (salted) butter and then grate the butter using a cheese grater. Much easier to mix that way, and it is possible to handle the dough as little as possible, making even better shortbread.

If you add corn starch its must be perfect

I don't suppose you could indicate the size of the pan. I tried a 1/4 sheet pan, but the dough was too thin.

Could you please make an almond flour version with date paste? Trying to eat healthier lol.

I thought Walkers used oatmeal in their shortbread????

Somewhere between 1/4 tsp and 1/2 tsp based on your liking. In the video we used slightly less than 1/2 tsp of salt. Hope you enjoy the shortbread 🙂

In recipe ingredient counts, things like salt aren't usually part of the count.

Can we get the grams converted into cups for us North Americans?

It is just called Shortbread. They shouldn't be called "cookies".
