This body butter looks fabulous. Just curious as to what the pink french clay adds to the butter. I am planning on trying your recipe and would like to know if I can skip the addittion of the clay. Thank you for sharing this awesome recipe!

Hi there. It just absorbs some oils and adds colour naturally but you can leave out or substitute with kaolin clay if you like

Hi Rhonda, Love the video! Just wondering if there is a reason you changed your recipe and method from the first body butter recipe you uploaded?

No not really but I often change things slightly to check on the slight differences to see how they go. This one is what’s called a Shea butter meaning it has a more creamy consistency and better for dry skin

How does it hold up in warm or hot climates compared to a body butter made mostly of shea butter without all the extra ingredients?

  • @NelsonInteriorSoapery

It is definitely better in winter due to the softer butters in it. It it’s fir summer you can lower the Shea and up the cocoa

@@kaprenawheatman8222 no never but I’ve heard that the unrefined are less likely to do it. I use the certified Shea and it feels so silky and beautiful .

For warmer/hot weather you can add beeswax…I live in Florida and it’s hot 🥵 and especially in the summer when I ship my butters it stops the melting 🤷🏼‍♀️👍🏼
