Shopping List:
Baby Back Ribs (you can use any pork ribs)
4 tbsps butter
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup beer, broth, or juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
salt, pepper, garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika
BBQ Seasoning
1 tsp liquid smoker
1 tbsp yellow mustard (binder)
BBQ Sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 275. Remove membrane from back of the ribs with a paper towel for extra grip. Apply thin layer of liquid smoke and then mustard. Season with all purpose seasoning, smoked paprika, and BBQ Seasoning on both sides and edges. Place ribs on wire rack and then into the oven for 2.5 hours. Remove ribs from oven and wrap tightly in foil after applying honey, brown sugar, and butter. Add 1/4 cup of liquid (beer, broth, or juice) to the foil. Place wrapped ribs in the oven for 2 hours or until almost fall off the bone tender. Remove from the foil, warm BBQ sauce, and coat ribs evenly in sauce. Place back in the oven for 15 minutes. Allow ribs to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

I’ve made ribs this way several times since you posted this video. I think it’s safe to say this is now my go-to rib recipe. Always gotta adjust cook times depending on how much the rack weighs but as far as flavor goes…. I don’t think you can beat this method. I use McCormick Mesquite rub & McCormick Maple BBQ rub (Like how you suggested to use 1 sweet & 1 spicy rub in your other rib video). Also good job on showing the cross section of what a perfect rib looks like. When it cuts clean but is still super juicy you know it’s perfect. That’s definitely what to strive for with ribs. Those are the type that will stay intact for nice presentation but still fall off the bone when bitten and melt in your mouth. Keep it up man. You’re one of the best cooks on KZread and also a great teacher.

Ooh-wee! That looks delicious! Nice and tender! Been looking for an oven rib recipe since I don’t have a grill or a smoker and I just found one! Cant wait to try this! My prefer pork ribs over beef ribs with a side of potato salad and corn on the corn cob.

Man, this recipe came in clutch for me over the christmas. My family was expecting me to cook some ribs for dinner (I never have until then), and your video got me by. Personally, i give my first attempt a solid C plus. They were seasoned and edible, but i can do better next time. Maybe by summer, i'll be ready to graduate to a grill.

Hi, well, I followed your recipe yesterday and man you’re the bomb, ole term, those ribs were smoking good, thank you dude. P.s I didn’t have honey, so I used organic fair trade blue Agave sweetener as always anyways and didn’t used butter, but I did used whatever drink I had in the refrigerator like 100% cranberry juice mixed with a little liquid, but everything else turned out nice. Best ribs in town. On a scale from 1-10 you get a 30. They were tender and juicy they even fall off the bone.

Making pork, baby back rib today with smothered collards and potato salad. Sometimes pasta salad and broccoli. Or baked beans with coleslaw. Looks delicious. I used dry run and refrigerated overnight. Thank you bless you 🎉.
