Someone should add a realistic storage mod so we’re you can only carry a little amount of items and you can also slightly change your outfit when you near you horse like taking your jacket or vest off

It seems that's the approach Rockstar's taking with GTA 6, a more limited loadout that can only be changed by interacting with your car's baggage area/safehouses.

​​@@danielm.595oh god if its like rdr2 where you have to interact and have an animation for getting your weapons off a vehicle it will suck. If its just you can hide and reveal your weapons like gta online that would be better. Especially when sometimes youd forget your weapon on the horse and be too far to call it.

these mods COMPLETELY change the game, got one of the damage overhauls, and you know those ambushes enemies do sometimes that aren't too big of a deal? now i genuiely have to run away because of how much damage even 1 repeater does. Its great!

On your point about money and the campaign- it is mentioned in a few occasions in notes (namely the new excerpt at micah's campsite outside strawberry) that Dutch was looking for a sum of around 150,000 to get the gang out, as he wanted to replicate their amount they lost in Blackwater and it was around that sum. Outlandish as that may be, to the scale of the game's economy, it means that even having more than you ever need is far less than what is being asked for by the campaign, and thus it is sensible enough to be believable within gamescale. That said, i still like the less money mod for the sake of decreasing things to a realistic scale and improving immersion to that degree. Means that by association dutch could be asking for 15k instead of 150k and it still makes sense, atleast in self-immersiveness.

the mission focus kills the beauty of the worlds R* makes imo, they are at their best when you can endlessly RP like taxi driver in GTA or hunter in RDR

Cool Video :) The reason I dont have the dynamic seasons mod is that I cant get over the fact that the NPC outfits dont change. So you see women in short sleeve dresses and men with open shirts in winter casually walking around. That kills it for me :D Also the flora and fauna doesnt look like winter.

Nice vid, but now that you mentioned it at the end, I do wonder; is there a mod that tweaks enemy numbers to be more realistic depending on the context of the mission? So you don't have entire armies of rival gangs chasing you?

hello, do you have any idea how i can make my cores for basic needs show up without pulling up my minimap? i really want to be immersed in the world and not have to the minimap out at all (if id just to check for a quick second with the down on the d-pad). i kinda want to bar myself from pulling up the minimap at all. i cant seem to find any mods that are focused on this or compatible, probably because the option to turn off the map is built in.

I probably should have mentioned this because I feel the same way, but unfortunately changing the timescale can often mess with time sensitive mods like Basic Needs, hunting ground and such, so I left it out

​@@DroppedIceCreamModsI've never used hunting grounds but I know it screws up almost every weather mod. You also have to tweak the ini to fit. For me it's worth the trade. I can't count how many times I've gone fishing, hunting, or just playing cards and suddenly it's almost evening or morning. It's one of those things I just can't go back to.

@@Zarkil I use basic needs and set timescale to 30000 and it seems ok, but the missions will force time anyway, you need to reset it after you're done 'cause it drops to 2k like everytime.

@@pbluma I thought it had an option in the .ini file to disable needs during missions. It's been a while so I could easily be thinking of a different mod.

Running out of ammo in this game is pretty exhilarating bc of course never happens. Will check out no auto ammo pickup for sure

How do you install mods that arent "download with vortex" ? I fucked my game up using both lml & vortex mods lol. Starting again now and itd be amazing to get it right this time round lol

It can be confusing to get set up, but you should never use Vortex for RDR2 mods, or any other game for that matter lol. Purely installing with LML is all you'll need. Most mods are installed either by being put into the LML folder in the RDR2 root folder, or by being dropped directly into the root folder itself. Simple as. The hard part is conflicts.

You may be thinking of the Dynamic Seasons mod. It causes black bars on the left and right of the screen in ultrawide. But there is a fix for it.

@@rottenapple_ Some mods are broken, some are incompatible. Like fallout new vegas has courted guides like viva new vegas that filter the best and safest mods; rdr2s modding scene is a mess

Longer Days (will never play RDR2 without it ever again) Red Dead Offline (for the extra content and weapons) Penetration GunFX No Vignette WhyEm's Particles Just F**king Bleed Improvements in Blood Injuries Irregular Lawmen Fix No Hitmarkers No Bullet Trail No Auto Reload Ever Hardcore Stamina (custom version I made stamina usage for Horses left John/Arthur as is heavy) I went for a more realistic Action Packed RDR2, i found Seasons to be to buggy with Longer Days and I dont use Jobs Mod and Expanded and Enhance Jobs they pay to easy and they also broke the game for me too many bugs.

My favorite mod that I have ever gotten is the gang camps mod. It adds like 84 places other gangs could be at making the game as face pace or slow pace as you want it

I often use Vortex as a mod manager for these sorts of things. It’s an all-in-one manager where you can uninstall and pause mods quickly and it even organizes them automatically. Hope this helps because I came across the same issue too

You're probably the first and only person I've heard say they only focused on missions their first time through. There's literally endless incentive to go off the beaten path, from random gang encounters, hunting/fishing challenges, gripping storylines from stranger characters, simply exploring the beauty of the game, amassing money, customizing your horse/character/gun, escaping lawmen or having standoffs, minigames... I could go on. Saying it doesn't commit to being a sim doesn't make any sense because it was not ever supposed to be a sim, just like GTA isn't a People Simulator. All of the "sim" features are for immersion but they obviously hold back for the sake of continuity and gameplay flow. It already is an incredibly slow burn of a game.

Did anyone find a way to not have black bars with dynamic seasons ?? I'm still baffled as to why this is an issue on ultrawide when the game runs perfectly.

Funny how 0:40 I did the same. First playthrough played mission after mission. Second is still running after 3 months. Completed all 90 challenges, killed all legendary animals and fishes on Arthur's side. Crafted all satches, all talismans. Every treasure discovered. Every hat, hatchet, gold bar, etc

Sitting on benches is something I'll never understand why they didn't include. BUT theyre is something that I've craved for Red Dead 2 since forever and is NOT on the list. Which is *a realistic map* ! I want to look at the map but not see my arrow!! Having to actually navigate throughout the world.

if anyone can find me a farming mod, i will love you for the rest of my life.

two of the most annoying things about rdr2 i’ve found is issues with mod compatibility and blatant disregard for the constitution the story is almost perfect though

The worst thing about this game is the awful, terrible, vignette effect around your FOV. PC mods can fix it but not for consoles 😵‍💫

This is not what an "immersive sim" is. An Immersive sim is like Dishonored, Prey, Deus Ex, etc.

RDR2 is my absolute dream game in theory, and I've always dreamt about a western open world game. But in practice I just find it soooo boring sadly. I think it's due to the fact that dying does nothing to you, and progress feels meaningless, it's so obvious that you're just supposed to slog through the storyline. Maybe I'll try to mod it..

The best and only mod you should ever use is called RAMPAGE.... 😊
