How to Make Realitic Explosions with X-Particles 4 Explosia FX and Render using Octane Render

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, you'll learn how to create detailed explosion animations using Explosia FX in the new X-Particles 4, and how to use Octane Render to make the volumetric explosions look photo-realistic.
Here is a link to the Cinema 4D project file that you can use as a jumping off point for experimenting with the system: geni.us/ExplosiaC4D

    Very nice tutorial, David, and thank you. One suggestion: if you could say the name of the thing you are adjusting more often, not just "over hear," or "this one." For instance, "Maybe we can set Max Value to 0.5," can be a lot easier to follow along with than, "Maybe we can set this to 0,5." It's just a little thing, but it can save an awful lot of pausing and scrolling back and leaning in to see exactly what you are doing on the other monitor. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

    I'd like to see an example used in a scene, where the positions of components were moved around and how centering the components is SUPPOSED to work.Each time I resize I get poor results, moving components results is changing the .. I guess, world locations and the plug becomes difficult to work with..to say: it seem the best way in a workflow is to build the particle systems, then build everything else in a scene around the plug results secondly... sort of a clumsy work flow, using the plug results 'size' and location' to determine .objs used through the entire scene.The basic Xparticle and C4d and octane does do a very nice job as a standalone kept in a simple scene as shown.. but sure isn't all that, for me anyway, when using motion for the plug results in a total scene.

  • @ThatLooksNiceCo

    @ThatLooksNiceCo

    6 жыл бұрын

    The GPU runs just as fast externally as it does internally. But transferring data to the GPU for it to compute can be slower. I believe it's around 80-90% as fast as a PCI-E 3.0 8x connection, though, so it's definitely not too bad. And it really only has an effect when you're transferring scene data to the card. Once it's actually rendering, assuming you're not having to use out-of-core memory, it runs basically as fast as an internal card.
