Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Would you like to know how to create needle felted cat eyes? This is the second in the series of my Needle Felted Eyes Tutorials.
It has everything you'll need for planning and creating wool eyes that are detailed and realistic. I'll first teach you the theory - eye size and position, eye anatomy, eye colours, eye shape and pupil dilation, before then demonstrating how to needle felt eyes on a Tabby Birman Cat.
Beware of cute kitty footage along the way :-)
This video was kindly sponsored by Heidifeathers. I absolutely love this company! They are a friendly dedicated felting shop with all the wool and tools you’ll need for your needle felted animals. I use some of their amazing needles in my video. By the way they now have horse hair which is brilliant for cat whiskers! So do check out their website today at www.heidifeathers.com
Here is part 1 of this series on dog eyes - • How to make Realistic ...

I ordered my first felting kit from Heidi Feathers. Although I’m in Canada, HF was the place I got the best supplies and amazing deal. I found them in 2020 for my beginner kit and have never looked back. 😊

I am totally blown away. I just cannot get how you can actually make a cats head with all that shape etc by stabbing the felt with a needle! I have purchased some bits and pieces to try it for myself. Wish me luck. Obviously I shall be starting from scratch and will watch all your brilliantly explained videos. Thank you so much.

I love your video, because I did not know what to do, in terms of craft. But here i can learn how to felt and to make cat-friends, and to study how to draw the cats eyes, and many many more ideas. Thank you very much. I am all yours from now on. P.s. As i continue to watch, i also came to realize, that I am learning the colors, which is my biggest issue in drawing.

I am so delighted to have found you! I cannot thank you enough for sharing your expertise so generously! I am a Fine Art painter, but I want a medium that I can do in small space and with a smaller mess. I he it a go. I have ordered my basic materialsave been curious about felting for a couple of years and decided to give felting a go. Thanks to you, I have an understanding of the techniques I want to employ in my work. Your fan from Texas!

Found this one we were talking about on FB. It's an excellent tutorial with so much actual information about cat's eyes via the real cats. hoping to get mine to pose nicely (for a change) or sneak a good picture. Her eyes are amazing! From azure sea blues to a brilliant blue green. She has huge open eyes, my other cat's are smaller & their face shapes are totally different too. Thanks for the link so I could watch this!

Hi I wished that every time you take a needle you will mention and write on the screen what number and type of needle it is, so we will know exactly what is the effect when working with that special needle, and wgat it is for. It would ve really helpful.

Thanks for your comment. I hope you saw that I explained which needles I use in the needles section and do say which I'm using as I go. I use the 38g for attachments and shaping, then move to 40G for adding the tiny layers of wool to the eye, 42G for tiniest whisps of white. The twisted for smooth finished over the top of the eye. Sorry I can't add these now as took me days to make and edit. The main thing is to use higher gauge needles for details and you'll find you may use different ones to me. It's about experimenting and using what you find comfortable and works for you. 😊 Anyway I hope you enjoyed the video apart from that?
