It should be thicker, also you don’t blend it with the seeds with the blender, it turns bitter. Better do it by hand. 🇵🇸🌿

@@dirtabd He means that he shouldn't throw them into the blender, cause that will turn the mixture bitter. Instead it should be done by hand as to not crush/blend the seeds that are inside.

If you have a little more time you can also extract the juice by putting the seeds in a ziplock bag and rolling them gently with a rolling Pin. This will leave the seed intact and result in a less bitter and slightly sweeter juice.

My aunties make this in lebanon but use boxes of pomegranates and some handmade machine. Its a much darker and thicker syrup than urs. They send me a bottle every now and then😊

I have a bottle from a Lebanese brand, it was the only one I have ever found without added sugar, it is very thick and darker than this, I think it would need to be boiled longer than in this recipe to achieve the thicker result. With the price of gas/electricity these days it's cheaper to buy the bottle pre-made or beg a relative for a bottle hahahaha

If you grind it that way, the seeds will be giving an off taste to the molasses! They need to squeezed by hand to extract the juice without breaking the seeds inside

I would not blend it because the sugar inside white part creates a weird taste. Instead try cold pressing the seeds. That way you can sun dry the fiber part. And grind into a fine powder to be used as anar-Dana powder. Super versatile in North Indian cooking 😊

You're using the seeds though, it tastes very different if you crush them carefully with a rolling pin inside a ziplock bag to avoid crushing the pits. Much tastier.
