I’m female and pine tar soap is my favourite. The smell doesn’t stay on the skin as soap is a rinse off product. I’ve read 20% is the amount needed for any benefits.

I love pine tar Pat and is my daughter’s favorite soap. I am lime you don’t label them by gender anymore. Pine tar and Bourboned tobacco were on the “man cave” category and I have too many female customers that will buy just the two and the husbands will get something else like sandalwood vanilla etc. You like what you like and there is no barriers. Love the coasters Pat. Question? Can you do a stamp? Let me know. Hugs

TFS do you add any essential oils to your product? Or any Shea/cocoa/mango butter?

I heat my oils and water to 120-130 before mixing, would that be why it becomes super grainy and doesn't saponify properly?

I love Pine Tar soap myself, but it doesn't do that well in my shop. 😕. So I only make 4 bars, for home, at a time. Cheers 👍🤗

Love pine tar soaps. I have a question, don't know if you can answer. My last batch of pine tar was beautiful. I have notice after several months on the shelves, my pine tar soap becomes really sticky. Like more than when I first make it. It looks almost like it is wet sticky. I do not know what is causing that. I refuse to sell them because of that. I wonder if it is because when I do summer market, if the heat is almost affecting the tar to seep out in a way. I have no idea. Never had that problem in the past. I cleaned them up by taking a layer off and it was fine underneath. I used it and had my husband used it and we were both loving it. It's all about how it looked. I use 13% pine tar, I use OO, Coconut Oil, Shea, Tallow and castor. Do you superfat your Pine Tar soap? I have notice other soapers do. Thanks for your feedback.

Hi there, yes I always super fat pine car soaps because they can be a little astringent otherwise. As far as the stickiness goes, without knowing more I would assume that maybe some of the pine tar didn't get fully incorporated, keep in mind that it's not an oil so it does not soponify like the oils in the soap so you really have to make sure it's well blended with all the oils and the lie solution. Otherwise you can end up with small pockets of pine tar. Other than that I don't have any other suggestions on what could make that happen.
