That stuff is super strong. I've made my own pine tar soap before, the biggest benefit I noticed is that bugs seem to leave you alone a lot more after washing with it day-in, day-out. I've gone into the woods with friends mushroom hunting and they'll be covered with ticks and other bites, i'll have none.
"the villian from fern gully" killed me lol great video!
Late to the party, but your presentation is killer! “Man soap, rarwwwwww!” 😂 I’ve recently become interested in putting tar soap in my repertoire so avidly watching all videos, refreshing to see a man for a change
I love the smell of campfire smoke.
Do a hot water bath for the pine tar get it runny. Much easier to pour.
Just bought that exact bar of soap from my store today and noticed the price had gone up substantially. Thought I would see how easy it is to make. Always thought it was a black art sort of thing. You make it seem easy.
I absolutely love your video. The narration is just the best !! Going to make this soap today. Thanks for making me laugh and learn.
if you warm the pine tar up by placing a container in a pot of hot water it will be easier to handle.
I have a wood burning stove, I always smell like a camp fire. Great video, great presentation...Thanks.
Thanks man. I thought I was the only dude making soap, lol. Worked great - but I found increasing everything by 10% gave me a bit more to work with. Original recipe seemed slightly shallow. Could have been just me wasting a bit too much in the bowls. Thank you!

I am also a dude (chemist) !
Excellent.
I am female and use the soap because of its medical properties. Great for other face.
Hi 👋🏽 can I get a link for all the tools you used
Thank you for a recipe of the soap. It's a problem in Israel to find lard and pine tar😢
Is human fat from liposuction companies really the best lard for making soap?

Yes. You can sell your soap to a department store for $20 dollars a bar. Lord knows what they will charge. It's beautiful. You'll be selling rich woman their own fat asses back to them.

Hi Jeff! Great video! Just wondering what fragrance oil you used? I have wanted to make this for a long time, but not sure how to scent it. Thanks! Cathy - Gold River, CA

Thanks! I used a fragrance called “Blue Man” for this soap. Blue man is a mix of patchouli, orange peel, sparkling mandarin, coriander leaves, star anise, and tonka. It's inspired by Aquolina's Blue Sugar cologne. I buy all my fragrance from bramble berry they have a really good selection. Thank you so much for the name of the fragrance Jeff! I appreciate it. Think I'll give it a try! The description sounds great!
What was the fragrance you used
I just want to know what kind of insane person wouldn’t want the smell of a campfire on them…
What fragrance oil fo you use?
Pine tar is easy to make soap I do it all the time no seizing.
So the pine tar isn't what gives it a pine smell?
Hey Jeff. Please, I need your help on soap making because I want to start a soap business. Like, bar soap.

Hi may I know where do you buy the pine tar?

They sell it on Amazon and the stuff he used was probably bought from a feed store or some place they sell things for horses. I read a couple of articles that said they didn't recommend buying it from the feed store because some of it has charcoal in it, but said if it is charcoal free, its probably ok to use.

Sorry, creosote, not charcoal.
Hello, I’m French journalist for a Paris-based publication, is there a mail address on which I could send you a request ?
Hey Jeff! I'd like to get in touch with you to talk about adding a foam party to my entertainment business. If you have an email I can reach you at, please let me know !
Man soap made by a man, the no frills way 😂 all ingredients mixed roughly, fragrance added by eye, no fancy tops, and all bars cut in one go by a cool gadget 👍
Tried it but mine was a flop . Will you please break down gr. To oz for me please
Have you tried it in the shower yet? How were the results?

It was nice soap, I can’t say I noticed any difference from soap without pine tar but it was a fun project and interesting soap.
Where’s the glitter ✨ lol
Coconut oil is known for clogging pores so I wouldn’t use it. Also olive oil isn’t the greatest for people with sensitive skin
Awkward.
