Dude...I recorded and edited some vocals today. The lyrics I recorded...trash...even though I've written worse. Anyway, I feel you. I'm honestly trying to get started on rapping, but I'm more of a singer than a rapper. Yet...I find myself inspired by underground Soundcloud rap. The good kind of course. Anyway, production-wise, I've been doing well so far. Hope it gets better with practice for ya.

Revisiting this video 6 months later. That synth phonk is still absolutely PEAK. Typical synth wave sounds with hiphop vocal samples and drum patterns is surprisingly immaculate. The hat rolls sound so at home under that moody melody.

    1. Song is hitting so hard this needs a release for all the carheads out there since its perfect for montages. It just has the perfect low end, vibe, tempo and rythm imo. 2. Beat could fit rly well in the new GTA and the third one has a whole cinematic tuner-scene vibe to it. Like if FF would still be about cars and not just action if you know what I mean. Insane video brother love it.

Amazing video!!! I also really apreciate the take on other styles of Phonk rather than just "Drift" or "Agressive" phonk like the more mainstream russian Phonk. I also have 2 notes to take on this. 1- The 2nd beat sounds really close to the actual classic Phonk genre, you can find reference tracks listening to producer groups like "Holy Mob" or "Purple Posse". (Purple Posse members have also done very few takes on Jungle/Breakcore on rare occasions, and i believe their "Sub Zero" Issue had one, but if im wrong anyone can correct me). 2- The 3rd beat is actually known as "Wave Phonk", which draws inspiration from another music known as "WAVE". Wave has trap influenced drums, but also has a major focus on very wide synth sounds. Skeler is reference on the Wave genre, and although wave is mostly known for the vibe and the beat itself, Skeler did remix "Umbrella" by Rihanna and "Conversations" by Juice WRLD based on the genre. (They are fire btw).

Hey you can make Cloud Phonk? Many veteran phonk listeners defend this as "Real Phonk". About it: it is based on the sampling of jazz, soul or funk music; the tempos are slow compared to the rest of the subgenres; you can use the cowbell if required; Memphis Rap and Trap vocals are used. I leave you as a reference to DJ Yung Vamp, NXXXXXS, Soudiere, Roland Jones, Inteus, Mythic and, the pioneer of the Phonk sound, DJ Smokey.
