thank you very much for sharing the concept. this by far is one of the more economical ways of introducing kids and hobbyist into cnc. for those relying on free software, flatcam and candle/ugs/any laser software will definitely work on this concept. i think its better to make your own design and stl files for better fit with regards to your 3D printers settings and capability.

good enough for hobbyist. Good enough for me 😉

Very nice! Thank you for sharing! Have you thought about replacing the pen with a Micro Mini 820 Coreless Motor High Torque with a milling drill attached to make it a real mini CNC and skip the chemical etching fase?

Certainly it requires more than only to adapt a rotary tool: the stepper motors must be changed too to support the tool weight and cutting forces, and so the brackets, linear guides, MCU, etc. It sould be better to adapt a 3d printer, if you have one. You can find this easily in youtube.

Could please upload the new stl file for the new pen holder parts? We can not find those in the google drive ?

Is it me, or does this not actually make the PCB: it just draws it on copper clad for chemical etching. Why does it not mill/engrave the copper so removing the chemical etch process.

I need a help, I am already having 2 drone gimbal motor which is actually a 3 phase motor (stepper motor is 4 phase) so I m using a L298N driver. Will I need to make my own software,Lol . Or is there one already❔. And thanks for reading✔
