If you have old Nokia charger you can use that simply connect led and resistor ( 330E or 560E or in between value ) to the out put of the charger wire for eg: charges out put pin/wire + (red wire normally ) to one end of the resistor and other end of the resistor to the + of led and - of led to the - of chargers pin/wire (black wire normally) if you use 330E = more bright, 560E = bit less bright than that, do experiment and set your required brightness

Điện AC thì không cần diot và điện trở chỉ cần 220k là OK.

Purpose of diode and value of resistance: It allows current to flow only in one direction. Since, LED emits light when it is forward biased to work. When the current flows in opposite direction, nothing happens (LED becomes reverse biased). So, to make sure that the current does not flow in opposite direction, one can use a diode. It allows current only in one direction (here, in the forward direction). One might also want to know why 470k ohms (such a high value) is used: the voltage is very high (220 V) but the LED can handle upto ~30 mA. So, if you do the math, R = V/I = high!

The diode blocks reverse current. The LED can only block 5 volts or less without damage.

Save the money of diode, NOT required to be connected in series because LED itself is a diode.
