is that diod is to straight the AC to the one leg? does it make differences to plug the resistor to cathode or anode leg? is it wrong to calculate the ohms by total voltage (230 without calculating the voltage drop)? I saw a video using 9k resistor for 230V so are that wrong? it we use more ohms the current will be drop and how the led will work? I have a question about 3V smd LEDs, if the current is 150 mA and we use 5v USB supply, should we do this math 5v/150ma to get ohms or 5v-3v/150ma? and how about 6V led with 5v supply? will it light up? and how about the wattage? so what happens if we use 1/4 watt resistor for 1W LED? and should we make 4 or 5 1/4 watt resistors in series to have 1W right?

If you have old Nokia charger you can use that simply connect led and resistor ( 330E or 560E or in between value ) to the out put of the charger wire for eg: charges out put pin/wire + (red wire normally ) to one end of the resistor and other end of the resistor to the + of led and - of led to the - of chargers pin/wire (black wire normally) if you use 330E = more bright, 560E = bit less bright than that, do experiment and set your required brightness

LED itself is a diode, DO NOT require additional diode in series, waste money & extra work.

Tum rajestns nhi batoge to kaya hum rajetens ka om nhi jante hei Kya 56 k on ka bhi hum lga sakte hei .25 year ka experience hei . rajetens dekh Kar velu Bata dete hei .3 volt led .56 k om and 4007 diode hei .

47KΩ, 1watt ressistor is to low for continuous operation.

if you want to use for a long time, you should use 2 or 3 watts resistor and diode.

I use 100 K 1/4 W as a resistor with 3 or 5 mm LED for indicator on all my extension boards , absolutely no problem when used continuously
