Yes this is similar to the butter pecan ice cream video but instead of adding the pecans, I made pralines and added it into the ice cream. There's a pralines n cream ice cream by Blue bell which I may of had once in my life.

LOL!! LOL!! me and my sister was just talking about this the holidays coming up!! we have not had this for a long time we were 3 and 5years old our mother is older and just do not cook anymore and we have forgotten a lot .

michael jarreau, every time I visit Nola, I purchase pecan candy, but I think the best pecan is in Ville Platte or Opelalous.. I can't find Pecan on the East Coast.

Pecan trees are found primarily on the East Coast in the southern states. Pralines wasn't a candy that I recall eating growing up but we did have something similar called peanut brittle made with either peanuts or pecans, sometimes with walnuts as walnut trees are also abundant in the southern states. I miss having fresh pecans; when I was a kid visiting my grandparents in South Carolina we used to just go outside and pick them up from the ground after they fell from the tree. Here in NYC, you can't find pecans but we do have walnuts but they're crazy expensive.

Butter Pecan is my favorite, too! :) Quick question: Why no eggs in this as in your normal vanilla ice cream? Do the pralines add enough richness so the full custard isn't needed? Hello Lisa! Thanks for the compliments. For this recipe i wanted to try something different. The main ingredients of Ice cream is milk, cream and sugar. However, there are many different types of ice cream. I just added the eggs to mine to improve the texture of the ice cream. If I added eggs the ice cream would have a custard texture and will be more thick. Try looking it up on Google and go from there. Happy to hear that you enjoy my channel.

The Praline Ice Cream looks good 🤤 Okay, I have a question: Do you use the same ingredients without the pralines if you want to make a regular vanilla, chocolate, neopolitan, oreo, Reese’s ice cream? 🤔

Thanks a lot! Yes the same ingredients for regular ice cream. You can add the Oreo, Reese's etc when the ice cream is finished churning. The possibilities are endless.

Hey Charlie can you make some sweet potato pound cake from scratch with some glaze? It's one of my favorites.
