The haters can say whatever they want, but this is the only naan recipe I’ve ever done that’s worked out in the oven. All the other recipes I’ve done have always gone wrong, but this is the one I keep coming back to.
I tried this recipe and cooked it under the grille ( electric ) as I only have an " induction hob " and it worked out really good , first batch I put under for to long , second batch I paid more attention to the cooking times 2-3 mins each side , then coated with some heated in the micro , melted garlic butter and it is fantastic , I also mixed an egg into the milk / whisked , before adding the wet to dry mix , definately on the menu again ,and may even add a spoonful of garlic powder to the dry mix as an experiment , :-) , in-fact this could open up a whole new range of flavours like adding chicken / veg / lamb etc stock cubes , broken down into powder form to the dry mix . :-0 thanks for posting ,was my 1st time making them but wont be my last :-) , not being rude , but a lot of cooking programmes on telly the meats / fish etc are to expensive to buy for lots of us , so this is really affordable good food :-)
i cant wait to try and make it at home. looks grt! thanks for putting this up on here.
Looks absolutely delicious.

Thank you.
The exact ingredients as per the recipe is on the website as indicated by the link above. I found this a helpful video as I consulted the recipe and method first. You do need to use both.
omg that's perfect!!!
I tried it but also add one egg in it then leave it for one hour turn out really good.

Awesome thanks!
I will totally make this
so true...!
I didn't get the recipe measurements etc but, I got the gist of what to do. Oh and she was beautiful as well btw.
no - it is a 'flatbread' but it is leavened meaning there should be a certain amount of rise and puffiness. naan is thicker and puffier than chapatis, rotis and parathas. all the naan i ever had (from indian, pakistani and bengali restaurants) were puffed up in the tandoor. her version is a quick fix version, but not the real deal.

You can say whatever you want, I’ve made this recipe at home. Every recipe I’ve ever made (and believe me I’ve tried them all) has always gone wrong. This one has always worked when I’ve done it.
Yummy!
very good recipe.. you can actually cook the naan on a hot skillet on a stove, a few mins each side..
that looks pretty delicious, but nothing beats the naan made in the tandoor! Naan and yogurt lassi ! wow thats my fav breakfast!
thank you
@foobar1968 sorry! didnt mean to sound all rude. but all the naan i have ever had and the ones i have seen made in punjab, india; they dont use yeast at all. sorry again! didnt mean to sound mean.
I made this the same way, but i put it on a hot pan instead, and it worked really well, It his a little but different in looks, but it tastes just like a normal naan....

Ive found the real recipe that good food used. This is the one I used before as well so I am certain this works very well. - 250g plain flour -2tsp sugar -1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking powder -110-130 ml of milk -2 tbsp vegetable oil, + extra for greasing toppings- -corriander - 1 tbsp melted butter
Nice
Some indian women are quite beautiful, So this recipe has no yoghurt? would that make the naan less fluffy and more like bread?
Can I also use all purpose flour to make Naan?
I don't know about the bread, but she looks delicious!!!

Making this today with a quorn chicken and lentil home made curry!
Is it any kind of dough?
@ssg279 your claim that Naan is never made with yeast is a bit strong.
Where is the yeast?
What about Granddad bread?.
Well it would have been helpful if you gave measures for ingredients - even the website doesn't say. ??
it would be nice and helful if at least there is a measurement or quantity mention shes doing it...

Frankie Winters why do you need yogurt ?
@martyjohnston700

I would assume its out of convenience. If you had no milk, yogurt would act as a raising agent, same as the baking powder mentioned in the video.
naan has to go fluffly wat u on darlin! lol we make naans differently in the restaurant...
@JasonRadley Lovely how everyone on the Net assumes everyone else lives in the same country they do.
0:28 "simple flour" ??????
SOME milk , SOME flour, SOME oil ..not exactly helpful is it ?

That was no teaspoon.
its a flat bread. its not supposed to rise nor be thick its a thin bread meant to be torn and used to dip in oils or with dishes like chicken curry lamb curry etc
We comme of thé future
i think its that butter she used in the lentils one
Please, you should put subtitles for those who are deaf. Thank you.
an ingredient list would be very helpful. :(
Put that in your dingle machine!!
There is no yeast in this naan recipe so why does it need time to rest and rise for an hour? Other recipes have dried yeast in them!

For it to puff, the dough must rest. Baking powder or yeast, same principle.
@brayingmonKEY

it needs time to rest for the gluten to relax, which makes it easier to roll out. Otherwise the dough is very difficult to stretch.

@@62halee Baking powder only starts acting when exposed to heat(Im pretty sure atleast), yeast on the other hand works with an abundance of temperatures.
@62halee

@@usmankashif6192 I think it's the reverse. However, it matters not what is used. Leaving dough to rest relaxes the gluten and the result is a better bread.
Isn't Naan supposed to be done with yeast? I makes a big difference for the taste, no?
I thought naan used yoghurt?
it didn't even rise. still looked really compact . get on out of it!
Little tip always feel salt is always colder than sugar.
She is gorgeous.
shobbook is sweater
I always make her recipe, everyone likes it. However, the fresh coriander was not a good idea. I put other herbs on it ever since.
The filming way, they are showing the lady's face too much rather than actual cooking hands and the bread itself. Looks good and I l9ve the way that makes without yeast but wanted to see "Cooking" on the film..
You can buy them from Sainsburys.
Naan is a Persian traditional bread lol
I clicked because I thought that Sunny Leone was showing us how to make naan.
@onabreeze its just a tv show. relax dude!
Surprised Anjum uses baking powder and not yeast.
Next well show him how to iron his shirts and tidy up after himself.😁
Baking powder leaves nasty after taste on tonge. Same with store bought bread
Keeps fiddling with her hair
naan itself already means bread! if you say the same thing in 2 different languages, you're just saying the same thing twice!
Not being rude but every recepie she has made according to her is from india CRAP nan is from the peshawri region and i hav tried the curries she has mentioned and trust me i'll stick to my own recepies or good old aunty manjula - go aunty go aunty !!!
sorry - this is a poor video. why no yeast? and she pricks the dough "to stop it puffing up"... ?? very odd...
This isn't how they do it in India. They put it in a red hot pan and turn it over with bare hands.

Get real who are you kidding
I can make better naans
this is crap, use flour ,oil, yogurt water and yeast ,salt, let it rise ,flaten ,roll out to naan shape, let it rise again a bit then grill both sides ,brush with butter and garlic or whatever you want
These naan are, frankly, pretty lousy. They don’t have the right texture or, more importantly, flavour. There are many better recipes on YT for naan made with yeast. They may take a little longer to make (in terms of waiting time, not hands on work) but they are immeasurably better.
Yes, quantities are essential...not everyone is a professional chef! Also, could the nice lady stop fiddling with her gorgeous hair...not very hygienic.
she licked her finger 2 check salt/sugar and now using same hands to make naan...YUCK!!
