I made this recipe several times with different toppings and a good idea for everyone is put a little cheese on top of the ground beef before adding the top tortilla this holds the whole thing together and prevents anything from falling out of the inside of the Mexican pizza.

This looks so good! Can't wait to try. To avoid clumping, don't mix cornstarch with the hot liquid. Either mix it with a little bit of cold water, then slowly add to the meat, or substitute with flour. The ratio would be different from cornstarch, to flour, but it will save time in the long run. Just remember, cornstarch likes it cold and flour likes it hot! 😁

im done with Taco Bell... they canceled one of the only things I got there. THis is like Burger King canceling the whopper.

Looks good, but I think I would sprinkle a bit of cheese atop the meat layer to help it stick to the top tortilla better

For all those who are not familiar with Mexican food, the correct name for this is tostadas. In this case in tostada stacked on top of another one.

Even though the quality of their Mexican pizza has worsened over time, I'm kinda disappointed that Taco Bell got rid of it on their menu. It was the one item I'd always get when eating their food.

Honestly I’d say 400-500 calories.. it all depends on what ground beef you get and the other biggest calorie thing are the tortillas.

Nextraker Use some grass fed beef. The cow was not fed corn or soy or whatever Else they put in the feed. Cow had a good diet of grass. Natural! Soooo it’s like a skinny cow, lol. And eat to your hearts delight. We only live once and We can’t give up Mexican food.

A few tips: white onions tend to have a strong flavor. If you rinse them after dicing you’ll get a nice onion flavor. Dry spices should be added after the meat has browned. The uncooked meat wets the spices and prevents the hot oils from releasing the oils in the spices. This actually looks so good and better than Taco Bell. Homemade is always better.

Ideas for the same texture as mexican pizzas. 1. If you prefer the same texture for the shells as TB then just fry the tortillas in some oil. Don’t bake! 2. Instead of throwing the pizza in the oven then put them on a glass plate and put them in a steamer on the stove. 3. Use soybean oil or trans fat canola oil (if you can) it’s what we used in store I’m a former store manager of TB, and this is pretty nice to see
