Same. I tried a matcha latte recently (Dec. 2020) and was hooked, but I can't just buy it every morning. All the "recipes" I've watched have started with a long intro about the history and nutritional facts about it. I like how this video is EXACTLY what I was looking for.

You have no idea how much I thank you for this! I knew generally how this was made, but every how to video tried to get fancy on me! They would use thee expensive machine that froths your milk, insist on heating to the exact temp in your thermostat, and add some sort of syrup to it! I really needed one that got me to the basics of how it was done. You not only broke it down you said you to do alternatives. I used an almond milk with vanilla, a regular whisk to froth my milk, and left it cold since it's so hot out! (truth be told I always prefer cold beverages) Thanks to you I'm able to customize my drink and make it nice and simple or fancy at home!

Can't wait to try this! Thanks 🙏🏻 🍵. Edit: I tried it just now with caramel syrup instead of plain sugar and it's yummy and so easy! I only had oat milk and it's a little too strong a taste. Almond would be better. Or rice milk but I can't find that anymore, sadly. This is my new favourite sub for coffee. Thank you so much! ❤

Thank you for sharing! I'm just trying out matcha because I love coffee but it's horrible for my stomach. I was looking for an alternative and am one of the few people who find the bitter sweet taste of matcha enjoyable. I've always warmed my milk in the microwave before frothing it, (morning laziness + I hate doing dishes) but it really looks like it adds the right flavor and texture when you have it there on the stove with some sugar! Looking forward to making this!

Namiko! I followed your recipe with almond milk and I absolutely love it! but because i take the latte to school, i put it in a thermal bottle, but i feel like the matcha powder sinks to the bottom even after I stir it with hot water in the beginning like you did?? So I feel like I'm just tasting the almond milk and not the full matcha latte, if you know what I mean...
