Don't throw your old Christmas balls. In this video, I will show you how to up-cycle them and create your own Macrame Christmas Ball Ornaments in 6 designs. Let's make it with me!✨
Materials:
*1mm and 3mm cotton rope (vary from every design)
For the measurements, kindly refer to the text you'll find in the video. The length of the cords will also depend on the size of the Christmas balls. I used 6cm.
Thank you for watching! 💖

What are the name of the knots you use on each ornament? I'm a beginner and you went too fast for me.

Square knots most of them. You can look up KZread, macrame knots. It will show you. Hope that helps

These are lovely but it seems so much goes to waste, why not cut them smaller so you dont have to cut so much?

Hello! Thank you so much! Yes, I agree. They can still be cut shorter. However I gave the measurements for the ease of knotting and/or to allow the user to still decide how short or long they want the trimmings to be. Not to worry, all scrap will not go to waste. :)

Would love to learn macrame. This is too fast and no verbal instructions. Too hard for me to follow

If you click on the settings button at the bottom right side, it sort of looks like a flower, you can adjust the playback speed. There are three slower settings and four faster settings.

Hard to call this a tutorial when it's difficult for a beginner to follow because you're going too fast...unless you simply want to frustrate the viewers. Why not slow down and explain what you're doing? Just a thought. 🙂

Thank you so much for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that the tutorial was not up to your expectation. I did this last year when I was starting out and I do agree to slow down. If you watch the entire vid, I slow down at the start of each design and speed up on the repetitive knots. Nonetheless, I have taken note of this and hope to show a better view and explanation.

In KZread there is an option setting to adjust your layback speed. Click on the setting of each video and make changes to your speed.

@@SilentKnot It's just fine the way you have it...viewers can change the playback speed to three slower settings or if they want to speed it up, there are four options for that. It's the flower shaped button to change settings.
