Hi Elaine B.! I also watch this wonderful Baba and love her recipes! I also remember Teta Antina making this delicious bread and her HUGE loaf for weddings. Thank you so much for this recipe! My Mom , Milka, always made the most wonderful Easter Bread …Macedonian Style is always the BEST! And of course I love hearing the language again…my Grandparents came in 1920’s and both my parents are Macedonian…can’t wait to visit there again to see my cousins after the Pandemic …Chestito!

Thank you for the recipe. I have wonderful memories of my Mum making this for us kids for Easter and Macedonian community picnic etc. I remember it was called Kozinjak and sometimes she would add raisins in it. If l were to follow your recipe when would you suggest l add the raisins in. Thank you again. I love your channel.

I’m very happy you found a recipe for the sweet bread that your mother used to make, and you want to make it your own by adding an ingredient. This is what cooking is all about, making your food the way you enjoy it. So I’m letting you know since you’d like to have it with raisins, you have to add it after you add the mahleb and before you add the flour. I would like to let you know that you should try it with adding half a cup of raisins at first to make sure how you like it. All the best, Baba

Thank you very much for watching my newest video of the Easter bread recipe! I am sorry you had trouble hearing one of the ingredients. The packet was Mahlep. You can put 1 or 2 packets depending on how much you would like. I only put one as I don’t want the spice to overpower the bread. happy Easter to you and your family 🐣🌸💐💐 Love, Baba ❤️❤️❤️

Hello thank you for watching my video for the Easter bread. I have used both fresh yeast from the bakeries and the dry yeast which comes in the packets (fast rising yeast). Both turn out well. As far as the flour is concerned, I use 50% robinhood flour (all purposes) and 50% Five Roses flour all purpose (White Flour). All the best for Easter to you and your family Love, Baba 🐣🌸💐💐💐🌺
