How to Make Link vs a Lynel / Breath of the Wild / Polymer Clay

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I think it's high time I made another Zelda diorama, and I think it's even higher time I made a Breath of the Wild themed one. And what monster better personifies the Breath of the Wild than the Lynel? And of course, Link's gotta be there too, for obvious reasons.

Next time you do something about Breath of the Wild you should add the malice on the field, or maybe you should do the Thunder/Fire/Wind/Waterblight Ganon. I think it would be fantastic to see how you can create the effect of the malice. By the way, great job!

As often happens, YT decided a while ago that I would like painting related channels (like miniatures, clay sculptures etc), so it showered me with channels revolving around this subject. I saw many times the dry brushing and wash applying techniques: I'm always amazed how such "simple" tricks can really bring life to the piece, especially the dry brushing! You start with a relatively flat coloured miniature or figure, a bit of wash here, a little dry brush there and BAM. Of course when I write "simple" I'm not downplaying the skills involved, what I mean is that for my uneducated eye their seemingly subtle and irrelevant effect has a huge impact on the final result, probably due to the bump in contrast created by their opposite action

This is fuckin amazing! I’m currently playing BOTW and it’s perfect!! Would be hilarious if you could sculpt the same scene but with link turned around and gulping down a plate a food 😂😂 can’t tell you how many times I’ve done that fighting those things

    1) where did you get those books!? Those are awesome! 2) is there any Skyward Sword artwork in there? That's my personal favorite Zelda game. I'm so excited for the rerelease

The big red one is the collected works of all Zelda games released up until BotW, so you'd best believe there's some bangers in there! And I picked them up from Waterstones (basically Chapters in the UK)

I see many parallels between sculpting and drawing. Like, with all the resources out there, you can make a hyper-realistic physique, there really aren't any excuses for not knowing anatomy at this point. Unless you take a cooler option, of course. Accuracy must yield before the mighty aesthetic! Also, bald Lionel looks a whole lot like Zodd the Immortal.
