How to make Kawaii Future Bass in GarageBand iOS

Yo, it’s been a while since last upload. I haven’t really felt like producing any music lately, but here’s a kawaii future bass in garageband tutorial.
Got any questions, try reading down below. If you still have questions after reading, write it in the comments below.
Kawaii future bass is usually around 150 bpm, and it works well with a basic scale as C major. When making the chords try to use 7th and 9th chords for a more “jazzy” feel. If you wanna go extra jazzy, make a chromatic chord progression as described in the video.
If you’re wondering how I got the “Walking on leaves” foley or the soda can sound into garageband, here’s how: Start with downloading the app named documents in App Store. In the documents app click in the bottom right corner to get to the browser. From here you can search up and downloading sample packs or sound effects from KZread videos like you would on a computer. Once it’s downloaded, unzip it (if it’s a zip), open the folder and click on select. Click on each individual sound, press share, share to files, and into the “garageband file transfer” folder.
For the mixing, I basically just used reverb, delay, compression and eq (and some other effects here and there, like on the 8-bit drum kit).
If you have any ideas for future tutorials, let me know in the comments.
Thanks for all the amazing support on the last video and have a great day!

If the video was hard to follow along with or unclear (which I can understand, it wasn’t the best tutorial ever) and you have questions, I tried to explain some in the description. But if you’re still wondering something, comment.

Hey! How do you get some parts of the melody to not have a full attack? Idk how to really explain it but like at 2:33 sometimes you can hear the click and sometimes there’s just like reverb.

I sidechained it using volume automation. So every time the kick hits, the volume on all the chords, basses etc. go down. This way, the kick can really punch through the mix. (3:03)

The melody and chords are the preset “arcade synth” under fx. The “bass” is the preset called “chiptune lead”, it’s under leads in alchemy synth. Add some effects on them to make it sound better (basically just eq and bitcrusher) and you should have something like this. Hope this helped
