I didn't like it. It was about being different. Nothing to do with art.
He's right fitting in is the most terrible , regretable decision i made . When i was little ive been told that grade will define who you are , it will lead to you a successful happy life and as a kid i obeyed them and study hard , i was top 3 and top 2 for how many year on my elementary amd middle school years , high school thats where i struggle to go back at the top , ive becoming a little competitive and judging people if their going to be smarter or dumber than me then until i just gave up i accept the fact that i cant go back up to top 2 and will never go up to top 1 . My friends at that time said to me grades doesnt define who you are , its just a number all people are unique and smart on their own way . Until then i never judge people if their smarter or dumber than me , i said to myself everyone is smart on thier own way and have unique talent . My punishment for fitting in ? I lost my creativity at that time , i never know that i have talent in painting all i know is i know how to sing and dance . I stop dancing because they want me to study hard . Thankgoodness , 2017 all my talent blow off in just one year , i start to practice dancing again and i start to paint water color and in acrylic i start to learn guitar , i start to create beats , learn about music producing , start photography , start to create new hobby like diamond painting . At that time i regret why i didnt enhance and found out all this talent of my but as i think of it im actually thankful that it appear at not little too early and not little too late . Now dont care about people around me . They say i will not be successful as an artist but i know someday , I WILL HAVE A HAPPY LIFE AS AN ARTIST .

Literally me💔
Making it for me as an artist and a recent widow means supporting myself and my kids without having to lower myself to asking my parents for help paying my rent. But I also believe in making affordable art that ANYONE can buy because to own original art is such a great feeling. I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I feel ya there. My solution? Price your art what it is actually worth, giving you actual money for your hard work. Then, give away your art to those who you are talking about. If you give someone something that’s worth $50 that’s nice, but what if you gave people works of art that were valued at and sold for thousands instead? Same amount of time and effort for you, but the value is increased for you, your collectors, and those you give your works to. You can only underprice your work so much before you lose interest because you’re not getting paid what you know you’re worth.

Best TED talk ever! Is about the quality of humans and how we forgot who we really are. Is not about science, medicine or other things that just keep us far from our essence: Peaceful Souls that want to create and share what we love with others. Thank you Luther! Best wishes to all POSITIVE CREATORS there. We need you!

Art school can be tricky eh? Look at it this way and let me know if it resonates: art school is only teaching you the "technical" side of creating your art - How to speak the language of your art better. Separate that from the "expressive" side of your art. You're sharpening the language you use express your art, and in turn your life, with more clarity and confidence. It's also very possible that it's not for you and you can learn it on your own since you appear to have the entrepreneurial drive. I dropped out of music production school because I hated it. Still a music producer!

My mom is my front row guy , She didn't want me to go to an Art school but I still did it and it was the most liberating thing I have done. My mom has never suppprted me in my art and I finally accepted that I choose my life and that I accepted my self for who I am meant to be and even if they don't believe , I will show them what to believe in because I believe in me💗🌌

I think that there's a key point being missed here - and that is that you need a certain amount of charisma and likeability for any kind of risk to ever be remotely successful. It is other humans that decide..always

I’m going to go against the grain and say I am not looking for connection as an artist. I’m looking for epiphanies or revelations and personal satisfaction and money to live as an artist only, but I’m not doing a Ted talk barefoot.
That sucks... sold out. I get it.
