I once saw this system in a Uni, it was a commercial built one but with the same principle, really compact. They feel weird and you have to balance yourself and grab the handles because the rolling bars tend to move fast, like stepping on a banana peel but once you get the movement figured out you can let go the rails and run. It takes a few minutes of practice but after 10 minutes running is adapted. Don't know if there are any issues after an hour since the coach only allowed us to use it for 20 minutes to avoid hogging the equipment but it is a pretty clever design and since there are no motors it saves space and power. The only difference with this one is that it had a concave design instead of a flat rolling area like this one, probably to force the user stay in the middle

Damn i never knew its possible to make a homemade treadmill. Im impressed!

well its pretty much a chassis with berrings and pipes. you can also make in with tood and pvc pipes or bamboo. I would also work

@@bazii6018 just add a breaking mechanism, maybe magnets or cloth block clamp with adjustable screw down to create friction, the cotton would brush the metal smooth but keep speed manageable. Basic physics

Great Job. I used this manual treadmill 20 years back.. unfortunately there is no comparison in results between Electric treadmill and manual. I found Electric more effective.

I don’t think that’s the most comfortable treadmill, but STRAIGHT PROPS FOR THE CREATIVITY that’s something the richest man couldn’t teach.
