Banana ketchup (or banana sauce) is a popular philippine dipping sauce condiment made from banana, sugar, vinegar and spices. Its natural color is brownish-yellow but it is often dyed red to resemble tomatoe ketchup. Banana ketchup was first produced in the philippines during Worl War 2 due to a lack of tomatoes but a comparatively high production of bananas.

Thats the good thing when you do it at home you can adjust yhe ingredients, u can reduced the sugar if you like, but this recipe here im using lots of sugar coz of i used lots of vinegar to balance the taste. Thanks for watching my kabayan 🇵🇭🤩

It takes very long coz it has lots of vinegar
Are those chilies spicy? What if I can’t get that kind of chilli? What is a good substitute ?

Not that spicy, u can put any bid rwd chillies, just remove the seed before you cook it to lessen the spiciness. If u got spicy chillies just put few pieces and put red food color
hi, i'm your follower from switzerland i have a question how long can i keep ?? in this case could you make a vacuum to keep it longer ???

Just put in the plastic bag and u can put it in the freezer and just thaw it everytime u need.. its gonna be fresh as it is..no need to vacuum, just make sure its air tight and sealed

Chef just 3 more questions please 😀 Can we use white sugar only instead of brown sugar. Can we use turmeric powder or red chilli powder as alternatives of Achuette powder or if you please suggest any other alternative of it. And can we use a pinch of red food color as well.
