How to make herbal tincture using yarrow
A few of our viewers who watched our latest garden tours have asked Mrs. NG to make a yarrow herbal tincture. I started growing Mrs. NG a herbal garden for her to replace man-made medicine. One of the main herbal plants in there is yarrow.
There are a few different ways to make tinctures using alcohol, food-grade glycerin, and apple cider vinegar. In this video, we are going to show you how to make yarrow herbal tinctures using alcohol.

Vodka has been our favorite for tinctures. I have heard the clearer alcohols are better because the coloring of say 'whiskey' is that way due to more contaminants. Everclear for us has been a problem though. It completely deteriorated everything it went with and made it a weird consistency. Tons of good info here. We were offered some yarrow recently form a farm market friend of ours. Thanks for the share!

@@TheNakidGardeners I wanted to add to my prior reply, that yes, indeed, I'm planting yarrow in spring. I have a itty bitty garden and need lots of bees! I also wanted to say, I purchased one of those mosquito zappers and used it about 2 months over summer, and I'm in Michigan remember, but I'm quite sure those zappers killed the bees also. So we took the zapper away. My garden began to prosper------ just saying...What do you guys think about that? So, for holidays, we stay home, my husband and I, with our two doggies. I'll be cooking and baking for a few days, and we'll be eating for a few more days! I've spent several months Learning and Doing Prepping.
