Wow, this is exactly what I was looking for! I am trying to make Aggrotech/Datk Electro like this, and I am having a really hard time finding Tutorials etc. You are actually the only one making so decent content on this! It would be very interesting to see more tutorials, even for a full song or maybe on other EBM sounds (Drums, Leads, Bass etc).

Haha yeah well that's exactly why I'm doing this. I know that genre is not as much popular as it was back then, but I think there's a lot of elements that could be incorporated in modern music. I wish I had that also in 2007 when I started producing industrial lol

I’m using logic Pro on my iPad right now and I can get pretty much everything I want to get except for the plain simple raw synthesizer sound and let me sculpt it myself. Serum seems to be where it’s at for what I’m looking for and I can’t wait to get a laptop so I can use it.

hahaha totally! Vanguard was EVERYWHERE 😅 There's bands that I could name that literaly every sound was Vanguard 🤷🏻‍♂️ and after that came Nexus 🤦🏻‍♂️ haha

I didnt know it was portamento, I used to use reason and adjust the pitch bend to the level I wanted it to end at.

This sound is EBM's version of the overused Hoover sound used in Rave in the early 90s.

I remember that synthsound from a preset of the old vanguard vsti synth. Or at least a similar. Then again I feel like the entirety of :Wumpscut: Evoke has been written with a vanguard :D

haha yeah I used to, a long time ago. I made the first Detroit Diesel album and then I made NITRO/NOISE's albums (I wouldn't say nitronoise was harsh ebm though but it had influences for sure.)
