I thought there may be more than one type of greek fishermans cap. The informal with the puffy round top like yours and the formal cap with the flat top. I compared this to my favorite vintage formal greek cap. The pattern appears to be pretty much the same with the exception that the formal adds a stiff 2 inch band made of of the same brim material sewn in behind a 2 inch sweatband all the way around giving the flat layover pancake effect.

Very good tutorial, thanks. Well, I have an issue with this part 2:28 For some reason, top circle and side panels doesn't match together. I bought patterns and follow every steps, but still I get some wrinkle and loose fabric there. I don't pull the fabric and just trying to carefully slide it through but still no good results. How to fix that?

Maybe it is the seem allowance. Also wenn you have stitched about 3/4, fit the rest together and see; if one part is short, pull it a bit or let the long part overlapp just a bit (only if it's the round part). You can see him doing it in the video but he's not telling you. One more thing is that the pressure on top (the foot) could be to hi. It is not as simple as he makes it look and also I think his work is very sloppy, their are much neater tutorials on youtube
Another nice tutorial video. Please how do I get the bias folder foot. I got one from "ngosew" but do not look like it will do the job (wish I could send the picture). It does not look like yours at all just too big with no screws.

So, the .25“ seam allowance is included in the pattern pieces? Bit confused by the wording on the printout, saying the pattern “calls for“ a .25 seam allowance, which to me sounds as if the seam allowance must be added.
