I have a question are emissive lights more performant than directional lights? Or is it all pretty similar?

Directional light is more taxing on performance because it's global which means it effects the entire area. If you meant ue5 "Rect Light or Spot Light" which acts like a directional light on a smaller scale, it's still using more resource than a custom Emissive martial because of the customization that can be applied.
