thanks for putting this together! I'm trying to pitch vocals like him from normal everyday speech.
I watch many ableton tutorials and must admit that this video is one of the best when it comes to explaining why you do certain things and what you are trying to achieve. Great job!

@@WillHatton Grew up with RnB and Hiphop, but now I prefer mostly techno, tech house and melodic house. What about yourself?
Got recommended this after watching the Fred Again BR, which was madness! Great walkthrough - this inspired track you've produced is approachable with plenty to learn from. It's sometimes demoralising when someone does a breakdown and their project is just unfathomable, but this is a brilliant mixture of accomplished sound design, solid mixing tips and hard-hitting sound. Subscribed - thanks!

This tune absolutely slaps. You nailed it man. In terms of future videos, I think you might've done a Ross From Friends one before, on his lofi house style - but I reckon it'd be a great idea to do one on his more recent style from the Tread album, especially with some of the glitchy fx and unusual vocal processing on there. What do you think?

I offer 1-2-1 services at my Patreon if you’re looking to invest however there are 160 videos on my channel if you’re trying to keep costs down! My 10 tips video is probably a good place to start!
I'm a little confused on some of the audio effect rack dynamics...for instance, why have the one rack that has a glue compressor as well as a clean sort of pass thru... isn't this the same as just putting the compressor at 50% wet or am I thinking about this wrong?
:O that bass tip

Sorry… I’m a bit confused. What does Fred again.. do exactly? Does he like combine DJing with production in a live performative manner?
@WillHatton
Жыл бұрын
My guess is that he runs tracks with an edited version of his own songs on the CDJs and fires the one shots and vocal samples, sometimes drums off from the Maschine.
Ever hear about drum rack maybe use it
If you referenced the actual song when mixing, this would've been identical. Nevertheless, good job brother

The sound I took out the edit? It’s just a rising synth pad in serum +24 semitones in the matrix on global pitch, LFO set to a mute and unmute pattern and then drenched in reverb and kept low in the mix.
How do I get Align Delay on my Ableton 11. Why don't I have this plugin?

Need to be on the latest update, under audio effects then Utilities
ableton is so damn overwhelming lol
I mean this is more of a how to recreate the track by Fred Again.. - this video would have been better if you cross-referenced a few of his notable releases such as Cross Me with Ed Sheeran and a ton of his other more electronic heavy tracks. Also this track was produced with Swedish House Mafia and so this isn't necessarily Fred's own sound.
