Steppke war auch so nur lag der Motor unter dem Tretlager und liess sich auch ausklingen Mit einem Lithium Ionen Akku und einem etwas kräftigen Motor wäre ein moderner Hühnerschreck möglich verwende die alte Technik mit moderner Technik dann ist es gut aber wo bleibt das geknatter vom Hühnerschreck

That's real super simple Electric Bike motor project. I think I will talk to the kids in our neighborhood and make this a project to teach them. Awesome job Creative Etc.

However it needs here and there some small improvements, this concept is genius in its simplicity! I put this one on my to do list!

Inefficient way of power transmission. U should have used gear and sprocket. Any way that motor can be used as generator to light up head lamp.

@Bramha's Astra to move a cycle in a particular speed, the power will be same in both cases, as the work done is same. Think about gears. For same speed, in easy gear, you need to pedal faster, but for hard gears, slower but harder. Work done is same, so power is also same

It can reduced tyre life but good idea..

After watching this video I made a jet which is capable of achieving 99.99% of the speed of light.

Eventually that will wear the tire down. I took an old weekender engine, same concept but on the top of the tire when I was 15. Worked for a while.

It'd be better if the propelling wooden wheel on the motor were superseded by the rubber one touching the metal ring of the rear bicycle wheel.

He went all out on securing the battery to the frame. :)

^ READ THIS BEFORE YOU TRY ^ [And waste your precious time and money] ✘(Wrong things in the video)- • The battery would last only for 2 minutes hardly because the motor is under heavy load it's eating massive amount of Amps • The wooden block on the shaft will wear out quickly • The motor isn't capable of driving such a load • You need to cycle your self first and then turn on the motor • If the cycle stops and the motor is still running, it will immediately catch fire • Potential risk of fire because of the uncalculated use of lead acid battery • Adult can't ride it because they are too heavy for this (thats why he used a child in the video) • No speed regulator too, so it would only run on preset speed. ✓(What you really need) --> At least a 24v motor with large torque --> Lithium Polymer batteries are much better --> A proper motor controller unit and a BMS --> The motor shaft must be somehow connect to chain itself, so it will never wear out --> Speed controlled accelerator or other system for speed regulations

Good... if your streets aren't like mountains with lots of inclinations.

These friction systems wear the tire, but if you have many, go for it!

The downside is that not only the wood doesn't provide enough torque but it will eventually wear out because it's not a robust material.

Quick and very simple. I like it! OK, you may get more tyre wear and have to replace the driving roller from time to time but it is wood so not a real problem.

Simple and work great.
